We rode into town and made our way to the bar in the middle of the town. When we got there a huge crowd of people had gathered outside and there were sounds of yelling and curses from somewhere in the crowd.
I Swung down out of my saddle and with Alec and the Guard I made my way toward the edge of the crowd. The first person who saw me gasped and tapped the person in front of me who then proceeded to tap the person in front of them. As people noticed our arrival they moved out of our way and made a path for us to walk through.
When we finally reached the center of the crowd we spotted four men two of which were holding the third down while the fourth beat on him.
“How dare you impersonate a dragon, you filthy wretch! I’ll show you!” said the one doing all of the pummeling and as he raised his fist for another strike I yelled, “Stop!”
The man turned his gaze on me and my escort and jumped to his feet. “My lady,” he said bowing his head and placing a clawed hand over his heart and motioning for his goons to do the same.
“Step aside,” I said as I walked forward to the man lying on the ground. They did as I asked and I knelt down to feel for a pulse, “Good he’s alive.” I said and then I turned the man over.
His ruby red eyes met my sparkling silver ones and I offered my hand to him. “I am Lady Angel, Princess and protector of this kingdom.”
The man took my hand and said, “I am Yong, bodyguard and head knight to Prince Jigu of the Wong Kingdom.”
I nodded and rising slowly to my feet I helped Yong up and draped one of his arms around my shoulders. We made our way back through the crowd and to our horses. Where, with Alec's help, I had Yong mounted on my horse. Then I swung up in front of him and took the reins, “I’m guessing,” I said, “That your Pince will be up at the castle if you are visiting.”
“He is here to be your suiter, Lady. He is one of three.”
I growled low in my throat as I realised now what father had done and I take off at a gallop back to the castle.
