Half the names on the list had already been crossed off. Megami had found the list sitting in the snow, laminated as to protect the list from water. It was a booklet, about an half an inch thick, a name on the top of each page. The booklet list she had found was a typed list of names she recognised from her school, ranging from a small group of fifth graders to a clump of eighth graders. What scared Megami was not her name on the list, but the detailed descriptions of each child's appearance, schedule, and personality. Megami decided to keep the list, but not tell anyone, and it was poking at her conscience all the way home. Her father hadn’t gotten home yet, so Megami could read without her mess of a father interrupting. Megami had always been organised and pristine, unlike her father who was a mess, always barely on time or late. Neither Megami or her father knew where she got it from, possibly her mother. Megami heard the door slam open, a strong sign her father was home. He cried out “Goddess, you home?” She tucked the small booklet into her pocket and hurried downstairs, after all, her father may have an idea what this was. “Hey dad, welcome home. I have a question, do you know what this may be?” Megami held out the booklet for her father to see. He studied it for a minute before telling Megami that it looked like a strange student list with all the schedules on the pages. Megami sighed, that didn't help. For her father’s name being Roi, he wasn't very king-like, her mother, on the other hand, was, Joō. Megami´s mother had the name Joō, Queen, her name fit her well. It was quite strange that her mother and father met, both had foreign names, Roi and Joō, King and queen. “Ōjo, Roi, I’m Home!” Megami and her father both rushed to greet her. “Hey mom, do you recognise this? I feel like it’s more than just a list of students.” Her mother looked it over, “Ōjo, has anything happened to these students recently? If so, then yes, a possibility.”
