"I can't believe he hasn't kept his promise," said the queen of the underworld "Keeping me locked like the rotten souls of criminals, of a beast!" she stood up and made her way through the long and narrow hallway. "Everything is so empty in here there's no color, no life, no... freedom." She opens a door and there he was standing right in front of her, the king of the underworld, "Oh my dearest king, when will I be able to return to the land of the living?" said the queen awaiting a response.
"Never my dear queen, you shall never return to the land of the living," said the king with a sword in his hand "why can't you understand that I'm doing all of this for you, Proserpina?" The king starts to make his way to the queen and with every step, her worries grow, eating her from the inside.
The room of gold and marble shines brighter than anything on the underworld, reflecting everything like a mirror. Souls trapped behind the walls screaming and crying. The yelling and preying of mercy, that's all they could do. Proserpina froze from the sight of the millions of souls locked behind a wall, unable to move while the king moved swiftly through the throne room. He swings his sword cutting the air so thinly that it pierced the floor.
Proserpina looks around while he gets closer with every passing second, "what will I do, I have to think of something, this is not the end of my story, I can't die in the underworld." She murmurs as if she were gasping for air. Proserpina starts to look around the room and quickly notices that there's a wall with weapons. She starts to make her way to the closest weapon and grabs a dagger, immediately pointing it at Pluto, the king of the underworld.
Pluto looks at her startled "Ha- hahahaha, what will you do with that little dagger, stab me? as if you were even capable of such things." he steps back and moves to his throne, with a view so clear for anyone to see everything sent to the underworld, the grey, the death, and even the light of hope that sparks from the above. "So what now, this kingdom is as much mine as it is yours," He takes a brief pause. “What will you do?" He looks at her with his freezing blue eyes and his dark long hair, as dark as the night.
Proserpina stands up and makes her way out without saying a single word. Once at the door she stops and looks back "I'll do what's right for me your majesty," and with a gaze, as threatening as the wrath of all gods Proserpina yells "I will be free!"
"We'll see about that" Pluto says with a grin on his face; he's lips and skin as pale as snow.
Proserpina leaves with the dagger and makes her way into her room. "That's the first time I've seen how it looks outside the castle, it's so muted." She starts thinking about the screams and the souls that she saw back there. "I wonder, why are those souls there and not lingering around the underworld like the other ones? Well at less they get to experience the few colors this castle has to offer."
"If it weren't for those seeds I would be free I would have my freedom, I will find a way to escape this hell hole." She sits in front of her mirror, "I need to find more information, I wonder if there are secret passages or at less a library." she stands up and moves to her bed lying in pain, crying until her slumber.
