After asking the boy about giving him a name his face turned into a wide smile and he clings onto my arm jumping in the spot he stood. I stand up looking at the boy's wide smile I remember Ava's favorite animal the griffin. an animal that's kind, caring, brave, courageous, and have a smile that can light up a room just like this boy. I rud the boy's spiky hair he looks up at me with large wide eyes. "how about Griffin," I smile he pulls me into his room "yea, I love it" Griffin smiles "Alex will you play with me since we're friends now!" I nodded as he closes the door, which is impressive for someone with one arm when I can't do it with two. I look around his room which is almost exactly like mine. "who old are you?" griffin laughs running into my arms "I'm six what about you?" I look down at griffin and smile "I'm twelve" griffin jumps on the bed "do you know any fun games?" he laughs. I smile and walk over to the bed "let's play cowboy" I laugh, "okay" griffin smiles. we spend hours playing until we took a moment to relax. I look at griffin " I know how hard it is being raised here" I sigh, griffin start to cry "so you know about the rumor" griffin cries. "it started before I was born" I say leaning back against the wall look at griffin, back around 17 years ago a disease spread threw out the x-medical wing now everyone believes that anyone living here has the disease and if you touch them you'll get the diseases. from the fear created by that rumor we were isolated from the rest of the kids, not even the adults will touch us now meaning that most kids here have never had human contact or any friends. I think about Margret and the fact that she wouldn't even touch me without a pair of rudder gloves on, I mean if Ava didn't get our rooms mixed up I would of never meet daniel making me a shut-in like most of the other kids here, friendless and alone. after a few minutes, I wave goodbye to griffin as I start to walk down to the mess hall so Margret doesn't throw another fit. as I'm walking down I can fell the icy stares of my peers, I once again line up to get my food this time there are around seven kids in front of me. I look at the food "mash potatoes" I scream drawing the attention of everyone in the room. I move the stray hairs away from my face and quietly wait for my food when Shara gives me the mash potatoes I bolted away without a sass comment. but because god hates me all the tables are taking up except one with only seven people and my knee can stand anymore so I had to sit down.
