Axle tried to get the air that was knocked out of his lungs back in. His voice was raspy as he spoke,
"You can come out now."
Nick shot out from under the bed. Axle heard a gasp and closed his eyes, Axle flinched when something touched under his nose. He opened his eyes to see Nick wiping under his nose,
"What are you doing?"
Nick gave Axle a crestfallen expression,
"You have a bloody nose."
Once Nick was done he ran back over to where he had placed... something turns out it was Nicks phone. Nick had his phone in his hands and was looking more shocked every second. He put his phone away and glared at Axle,
"Why haven't you told anyone what your parents are doing to you?"
Axle snorted,
"You didn't see anything how do you know what happened?"
Nick didn't have a playful smile anymore which made Axle feel jumpy. Nick shoved his phone in Axle's face, it was a video, Axle pressed play. It
was a recap of the last five minutes, everything his parents did and Nick cleaning under Axle's nose.
"Delete it."
Nick looked stunned,
"Are you serious! You have proof to get them away from you!"
Axle's gaze snapped up,
"They always come back, don't you get it, they can fake their way out of everything, I've already tried telling people. No one believed me if anyone tried to help me I was beaten a thousand times worse."
Nick's shoulder's dropped and he walked over to the bed, he sat down resting his arms on the bed,
"I can help you at school, but I can't do anything about this unless you let me."
Axle shook his head,
"It's harder than you think, you'll get sick of it soon enough. I've only ever found two reliable people and I still don't have the guts to tell them what happens at school or home."
Nick placed a hand on Axle's shoulder,
"Fine, I'll keep your home... situation under wraps, but only if you tell your 'two reliable people' okay?"
Axle groaned,
"Fine."
Nick did a tiny victory dance which made Axle chuckle. Nick rested his head on his arms,
"Why do your parents hate you, and why do the bullies bully you? If that's not too personal of a question to ask."
Axle shrugged,
"From day one I guess I've always been letting my family down, they said they wanted a girl to balance out the family. My older brother Sam was supposed to be the only boy, then when I came out as pansexual my parents lost it, that's when things got... physical. That's also the reason for the bullies, they believe anyone who isn't straight is a curse to the world."
Axle added a half-hearted laugh,
"And now I'm telling someone I barley know my entire life story, funny huh?"
Nick chuckled but it seemed to die in his throat, Axle looked up and saw Nick rubbing his neck,
"Well if you don't mind me asking how'd you get the scar's on your back?"
Axle lifted the side of his shirt to show Nick scars that edged themselves across his side,
"How do you think?"
Nick looked sad as he stared at the scars. Axle laughed which seemed to startle Nick,
"Aw, where's the happy bunny from before?"
Nick scowled playfully at Axle, making him smirk.
"There he is!"
Axle pressed one of his pointer fingers on Nick's cheek making him smile. Nick laughed and swatted his hand away. Axle's eyes started to droop and he yawned, Nick chuckled and pushed Axle back into the pillows,
"Go to bed Axe."
Axle could faintly remember smiling as he fell asleep. When he woke up it was still night, he saw Nick was asleep still resting his head on his arms. Which meant he wasn't even laying down. Axle snorted and took one of his blankets off, he tossed it over Nick's shoulders.
