Spencer laughed at Isaac's joke. How could they both be so bad at cooking? Spencer shoved half the large pizza slice in his mouth in one bite. Isaac took small calculated bites of his own slice. Just then Spencer felt the usual coldness fill his mind as the organization contacted him. He tried to keep his mouth chewing casually so as not to alert Isaac to anything, as the message flashed across the back of his eyes.

Quick- the mission is injured and unconscious! A man is driving her in her car, heading your way. He will be there soon. Stand your ground and protect her! This is a critical point in the mission!

He almost choked on the slice of pizza. Lila was hurt? And with a man? He felt a darkness fill his insides. He had to protect her, even at the cost of revealing himself, he had to. He swallowed his pizza and setting it down he looked at Isaac.

"I'm sorry to leave you so abruptly, but... Something just came up." He stood up the darkness growing darker within him as he thought more. She could be in serious danger. He needed to get to Lila now. He calmly walked to the door and out of it. Isaac stumbled over the couch to follow him. Stopping to grab Spencer's shoes, the door slammed behind Spencer leaving Isaac behind. Isaac quickly followed, opening the door hastily.

"Wait- Spencer! You're shoes..." He shouted to the empty street trailing off. Spencer had vanished completely with no trace of him left, but the ratty sneakers in Isaac's hands. With an eye for the unusual Isaac suspected Spencer was different, but vanishing into thin air? Isaac thought to himself for a moment before closing the door slowly.

A creak filled the empty street followed by a soft clicking. All that could be heard was the clicking and tapping of a keyboard in Isaac's home. The soft whirring of the computer before him as he began his search for the mysterious... The real question was what would he find?

He only hoped it wouldn't be his worst nightmare.
