A voice caused G.U.T. to freeze mid-swing. A student ran in, going to her. “Let go of them this instant. They are siblings!” A voice said in a somewhat panicked tone. Jay tried to look to see who was talking but he was met with a view of what was under their skirt. He quickly looked away while they student continued to talk to G.U.T.
Soon there was a loud groan before she snapped her fingers, the students letting go of Jay and May. Jay quickly went to May, checking if she was okay. He then looked at the student and got a good view of them. They had short bright pink hair and was wearing a females uniform. Their eyes was something Jay had never seen, purple with pink heart pupils. “Are those...contacts?” Jay asked and they nodded.
“The name is Jackie. You should be thanking me for saving your ass.“ Jackie said to Jay and he gave a small smile. “Right. Thank you very much, Jackie.” He said, May walked up to Jackie, tilting her head putting before patting Jackie's chest. Jay’s eyes went wide and he pulled her back while G.U.T. began to laugh, raising her bat again.
“Get a hold of your fucking sister!” She told Jay as he backed up. “Just calm down, G.U.T. The sweet thing ,is just confused.“ Jackie said with a small smile. “I'm all man down there, honey.” Jackie said with a wink. “Now, whether or not I dress like one is debatable.“ May just looked at him for a moment before giving him a thumbs up. “Alright! Let's go May!” Jay said with a nervous laugh before pulling her out of the room. As he was hurrying down the hall.
He let out a loud huff with before looking at her. “Never do that again.” Jay said pinching the bridge of his nose. They came to another club room door.
Jay opened the door, immediately greeted with an argument between two students, one of them being Illaden, the other having shaggy dark purple hair, wearing a black uniform with a dark blue cloak.
“Tenma, Emily made it very clear that you are not to participate in club day.“ Illaden told the student calmly. “I honestly don't care what that lewd minx wants me to do. She forced me in the council, I should at least be able to have my club." Tenma said, as he put books on the shelves. The room was decorated with pentagrams and other demonic looking symbols.
“To be fair, you did kill someone on the first day.” Another student with blonde hair said in the corner of the room, who was organizing the books as well.
“Not you too, James… “ Tenma mumbled and sighed. “You broke a rule, now you pay the price. You should be lucky you haven't lost your club.” Illaden told him, shrugging. “Oh please. She would never take away my club. She knows it's the only thing keeping me bound to the council." Tenma said with a loud sigh.
As Jay looked closer, he noticed he was wearing what looked like purple lip gloss. “She is the eternal tempest in my life. Now if you'll excuse me, I have a club to run.“
Tenma told Illaden, as he went to place another book, Illaden knocked all of them off the shelves, a small grin on his face. “What are you doing?!“ Tenma yelled as Illaden knocked off more. “Stop!” He yelled again as he began to pick them up. “I could stop, if you take your punishment.“ Illaden told him.
“Get out of my club room.” Tenma told him as he stood up. Illaden that's walked past him and knocked the books out of his hand. “Fine..you're so stubborn. I'll be back in a few hours.” Illaden said as he walked to the exit, seeing the two standing there. "If you haven't heard already, this club isnt participating today. Have a good day." He said before leaving.
Jay closed the door and quickly walked off. As Jay and May walked, he sighed again, rubbing his head. “All the reasonable clubs are all filled…” Jay mumbled before he stopped, looking at the last door, the doors being a bit bigger. Jay took a breath before walking through the door. The two took a look around and saw what looked like a mini lobby. There were potted plants and loveseats.
The walls were decorated with pictures of students, some of them having large red X's over them. Seconds later, someone walked through a side door. Jay opened his mouth to say something but he stopped when the girl faced them. She had short lavender hair and both of her eyes were bandaged over.
“Oh, my apologies. I didn't realize we had new students with us. My name is Cecilia. I'm the vice leader here.”
She said in a soft spoken tone. “How can you see us?“ Jay asked as she turned around, opening the side door. “Our club leader is just through this door. She will be happy to see you." Cecilia said, Jay hesitated before walking in with May. The side room looked like an office. Sitting behind a small desk was a girl with long pink hair, her eyes a beautiful mix of green and purple. She raised her head up a bit more with a large smile, she got and walked over to them.
“Hello! My name is Medama! What can I do for you?” She asked and Jay gave her a smile. “We..would like to join your club.“ Jay told her and she almost squealed. “That's great! I would love to have you two in my club. in this club, we see the beauty in everyone and everything. We try to focus on making sure everyone looks beautiful even in death! Now the requirement is really simple. You just have to give me one of your lovely, lovely eyes.”
She said as she put a hand on Jay's cheek, his smile dropping almost instantly. “What's with that look? You have two eyes, I don't see the issue in giving me one!" She said with a loud giggle, May pulling him back a bit. “W-We have to think about it…“ Jay said as him and May walked out.
“Please go easy on her...She isn't really that bad. She has showed me that friendship truly is blind…” Cecilia said as they left. Jay and May walked down the hall until they were away from everything. They went to their dorms and Jay locked the doors.
“Alright that was a bust. But it's okay. We don't need the club's anyway.” Jay said as he looked over at May with a smile. “Attention all students.” Emily's voice came over the speakers. “Please make your way to your classrooms for a very important announcement. I repeat, Please make your way to your classrooms for a very important announcement. Thank you~!“ She said before the speakers went off.
Jay and May quickly made their way to the classrooms, taking their seats. May took out a notebook as the rest of the students started making their way into the classroom. A moment later, May handed her brother her notebook, Jay taking it gently and reading what was written down.
"How much crack do you think Emily is on for her to be that excited about everything?" Jay snickered quietly and wrote down something in response, handing it back to her.
"Too much, apparently." May read it over and covered her mouth. Their moment of peace was soon interrupted by a certain white haired student popping in between them.
"Hey there! How did you two enjoy club day? Have you found any clubs you might be interested in joining?" Angel asked with a smile. "Not really..." Jay told him with a somewhat nervous smile.
"Well, that's too bad. Hue and I were really hoping you and May would join. But, to each their own. Hm?" Angel looking down at May's notebook and laughed quietly as he read what was written down, May quickly closing it.
"I wouldn't talk bad about our dearest council president. She has high power here, you know. Doesn't really like it when students bad mouth her. Especially with what is coming up." Angel told them.
"What is about to come up?" Jay asked but Angel didn't say anything, just walking back to his seat. A few moments later, the speakers came back on.
"Good afternoon, everybody!" Emily's voice boomed over the speakers. "I hope you all are enjoying your day so far! I have a very exciting announcement to make. Starting tomorrow we will be hosting our first festival of the year!" She almost yelled into the mic, making some students wince a bit while others cheered.
"For you first years who don't know, our festivals are a test of strength and speed, as well as endurance. A last man standing type of battle, if you want. It is completely optional, not recommended for first years. Those who do want to participate, all you have to do is write your name on a piece of paper and if you are lucky enough to be picked, you will get to attend! I will explain the rules tomorrow, after we choose our eight. You all have ten minutes to decide if you want to participate or not. Another announcement will be made later. Stay tuned~!" Emily exclaimed before the speakers switched off.
Jay let out a small sigh of relief after hearing it was optional, leaning back in his seat. He looked over at his sister, who was writing in her notebook. "Alright, everyone who would like to participate, please go ahead and write your name on the paper. Those of you who don't, smart choice." Mrs. Jay told the class before sitting down at her desk.
Jay took out his own notebook, doodling in it for a while until he heard the door to the class open. When he looked up, he was met with Eddison walking in with a large box in his arms, going to Mrs. Joy's desk.
"Good afternoon, I am here to collect the papers from the students." Eddison told her before turning to the class. "Those of you who have written their name, please come forward and put your slips of paper in the box." After Eddison was finished, a few students including Angel got up and put their slips of paper in the box. After the last student sat down, Eddison left the classroom.
Jay looked back and saw Vicky folding a sheet of paper. Jay turned around in his desk a bit, smiling at her. "Hey there, Vicky. What are you doing?" He asked and she raised her head up a bit.
"I'm just messing with some scrap paper that I found. Helps to keep me still." She responded before returning his smile. "Did you...um, enter in for the festival?" Jay asked and she shook her head.
"Nope! I may be interested in new things, but not even I'm that dumb to join in a killing fest. I know my worth. Did you?" She asked and he shook his head as well. "Of course not. I'd rather May and I stay alive." He said with a small laugh and Vicky looked back at her paper. "Good. I like you two, you both are very interesting." She said as she began to swing her legs under her desk.
The classroom for the next hour was filled with students chatting amongst themselves until the sound of the speakers turning on caused them all to stop. "Hello again! Alright, it's time to pick our eight students who will be joining in the first festival of the year. Student number one is...Angel Cupidon! Student number two is..." As Emily began to list off the students, Jay zoned out, thinking about the different clubs.
'Maybe we could join Eddison's club. It shouldn't be too hard to hold my breath for that long but I don't know about May...' He thought as he looked over at her, who was looking at the speaker in the corner. His thoughts were stopped by Emily yelling into the mic.
"Wow! Third year in a row! What luck! Alright, and lastly, students number nine and ten are....Wait...Illaden, come here." Emily's tone of excitement quickly changed to a tone of confusion. "Why are they in here as participants? I know them, they would not enter."
Emily was heard talking with Illaden. "They just arrived, you don't know them any more than what you were told. Maybe they just want to surprise everyone..." Illaden was heard as well. There was a moment of silence before Emily sighed. "Alright then. I apologise for the interruption. The last two students who will be joining the festival are May Williams and Jay Williams." Jay felt his heart stop as he heard Emily, looking over at his sister who had a look of confusion on her face.
"Those of you who were not selected will have a chance to be for next week's festival. The festival will begin after class tomorrow so everyone who is joining will have until tomorrow to prepare. Good luck and I will see you all tomorrow." Emily said in a less excited voice before the speakers turned off. Jay looked back a bit to see Vicky looking at him.
"I thought you said you two didn't enter." Vicky said but before Jay could say anything, she put her hand up. "I don't like being lied to. So, that's why I wont see it as a lie!" She said happily with a large smile. "I'm going to see it as a not so pleasant surprise! I wish the both of you the best of luck!" She exclaimed before looking back at her paper. "Yes, I wish you all the best of luck as well. This concludes the class day." Mrs. Joy said before looking at her computer.
The students in the class bit by bit left until it was just Jay, May, and, Angel. Angel soon got up from his seat and went over to the two. "Hey, you guys will be fighting against me! Isn't that exciting?" He asked with a smile.
Jay slowly stood up. "No. I need to talk to Emily." Jay said quietly, making Angel gasp softly. "What for?" Angel asked as he put a hand on his cheek in surprise. "I can't have May fight in that festival. And I know i'll get creamed. I need to see if there is anything I can do. Angel, can you take us to the council room?" Jay asked as he faced him, Angel nodding.
"Of course. Just follow me." Angel said as he left the room. Jay waited for his sister to get up before following Angel around the school. They walked for a bit before stopping at a pair of large double doors. "Here it is, the council room." Angel said as he leaned against the wall next to the door.
"Thanks. Can you stay out here with May? Just, make sure nothing happens to her." Jay asked and Angel nodded. "I don't see why not." He said before Jay turned around, walking in.
