When I called the Vet, he said he’d look into it but to bring Marv around the next day so he could perform a whole physical on him. We’re long overdue on that, so might as well get it done now.
When we arrived, the Vet said he had a general idea of what the problem might be but he had to run a few tests to check out what was really happening. He also hinted he might have to check me as well since I was always in close contact with Marv. I don’t really know what that means but it got me feeling very nervous. Was it contagious? What was it?
The Vet ordered me to exit the room while he conducted the first round of tests on Marv but before leaving I just wanted to ensure Marv would be ok so I just talked to him a bit and told him everything was going to be ok. I pet his head and hold his face on my two hands while I say
Don’t worry big guy, this is completely normal and the doctor will take good care of you. I’ll be right outside waiting.
As I exit, I look behind me to see his apprehensive face. It breaks my heart but it’s really the best for Marv at the moment. This will allow us to solve this problem and have tranquillity back in our lives again.
