"I guess." Charles' confidence twisted into doubt. "Is that weird for you? I'm up to date on my tests. I can show the papers if-"

"No, you don't have to." I move to sit on the edge of the bed. "This just isn't something I usually do."

He smiles. It's warm like before. "That's fine. No rush." He sits beside me. "Do you want to talk first? You seem like the type."

"It's that obvious?" I sigh, "I just need to know a few things."
