You get used to the darkness and

You think it is getting bryter but then some actual light comes into your life it really takes the weight off your shoulders and it's great and then it's over and the Darkness is on your back and the weight of Everything's crushing you and you're sitting in your room crying like all the "progress" you've made was nothing and you realize it was just your eyes adjusting you redefining baselines finding a new normal and if you'd never seen the light you wouldn't know to curse the darkness

And the contrast makes you cry
