"Wait. I would like to ask her for a dance." And with that, the three girls were looking at him with different expressions. Yuki was looking at him with surprised, Luna with a glare, and Scarlet was looking as expressionless as ever. "May I?" He asked again. "No. Did you not hear that Scarlet is tired already?" Luna answered in Scarlet's stead. "I do not mind." Scarlet simply said, surprising both Luna and Yuki. "But, Scarlet-" Luna was about to protest when Scarlet cut her off. "I will dance with you again after this if you want?" She proposed, even though she did not really mean it. But, that was the only chance, she thought. Luna growled for a while before nodding her head. "Fine! But, just once, okay, and make it soon!" She stated. "I got it. So, would you mind to let go of me already?" Scarlet said as she looked at her hands both still being held by Luna and Kaname.
Luna had thought that she was talking to Kaname, so she had not released it, but then Scarlet spoke up her name, "Luna." and that was her cue, so she let it go hesitantly. Right after Luna let go of her hand, Scarlet was immediately being pulled by Kaname that it surprised not only her but the other girls too. "Well, then, I will borrow her for a while. Yuki, I'll talk to you again after this. Wait for a while, okay?" Kaname said to Luna before turning to Yuki who just nodded her head obediently. Then Kaname brought Scarlet to the balcony on where he and Yuki had their dance before.
Once at the balcony, Scarlet sighed. "Thank you, Kaname-senpai. You saved me." She said as she thought Kaname had only said that because he got her hidden SOS. Well, he might do it because of that, but he also wanted to dance with her for real, so he said, "I also meant it when I asked you for a dance." He simply stated as he was looking at Scarlet straight in the eyes, but Scarlet immediately turned to look away from him. "Well, aren't you supposed to ask Yuki instead?" She asked as she looked at Yuki, who was talking with Luna inside the ballroom, from the balcony.
"I have danced with her, and now..." Kaname started as he brought her face to look back to him. "I'm asking you to dance with me too." He finished as he enveloped her in his arms suddenly that it surprised her. Scarlet was silent for a while before she spoke up, "Well, I have said I do not mind." She answered lamely as she did not know what else to say. But, that was enough to make Kaname smiled to her and she had to look away to hold herself from blushing from his smile. "J-just make sure you don't twirl me around too much like Luna did, Kaname-senpai." She added as she tried to calm herself down.
"Don't worry. I am not as rough as her." He whispered to her ear and that made her shuddered, and somehow she felt somewhat weak. "Damn! What's happening to me?!" She mentally screamed to herself as she closed her eyes, shaking off any feelings she might be having. "Anyway, I was really surprised to see you here." Kaname spoke again as they had begun their slow dance since Scarlet seemed like she was too speechless to talk. "Ah, yeah... I had to come to a deal with Luna to let me out of that place." Scarlet answered as their body clung to each other, following the dance steps.
"That place?" Kaname asked curiously. Scarlet nodded. "I don't know where it is though. I was brought here in a car too, so I'm not too sure." She admitted. On her way here, she could not really see anything as it was already dark, and the car's windows were covered by the curtains too. "What kind of deal did you make with her?" He asked again as their dance was still ongoing. "Hmm... It was a pretty simple deal." Scarlet answered, without going any further to the details. "Tell me?" He tried, and Scarlet sighed, knowing he would ask that. "What if I said no?" Scarlet tried too. "Is it something embarrassing?" He tried to guess. Scarlet got silenced. "It is then?" He pestered on. "For me only, I guess." She admitted then. "Try me." He simply stated. "Well..." Scarlet began but was hesitant.
"Promise you won't laugh?" She asked first before she continued. Kaname just raised an eyebrow before he agreed. "Really?" She made sure. "Yes." Kaname answered short as he was too eager to know now. "Well...." Scarlet repeated. It took her another while before she continued. "I just agreed to make her dress me to the ball and to dance with her. But, then, I ended up looking like this, so yeah, it's pretty embarrassing for me." She said not looking at Kaname at all and was looking down on the ground to hide her embarrassment.
"Why? It looks pretty good on you, I would say." Kaname said as he inspected her from top to bottom once again. "Huh? How do you think so? I look like a doll!" Scarlet then snapped looking up at him fuming. Kaname then chuckled more than before. "Well, I guess so. But it fits you, you look pretty in it. Maybe I should buy you more clothes like this?" He joked, though the praise was truthfully said. "Wha-?!" Scarlet was dumbfounded by his words, both the praise and the joke. "No, thank you!" She managed to say only simple words as she looked away from him, annoyed and embarrassed at the same time. Kaname chuckled even more.
For some reason, he only could be like that when he was with Scarlet. Even when he was with Yuki, he could not really laugh like that. Perhaps, because with Scarlet, he did not really have to pretend to be a perfect person? After all, she herself had let him see her true self under the mask she had always worn. So, it would only be fair if he too did the same to her, or so he excused himself. He then smiled as he looked at Scarlet.
"Still, that was indeed a pretty simple deal. I did not know that she would even let you go with just that." Kaname then said remembering how Luna had stubbornly said that she would take care of Scarlet herself. "Eh?" Scarlet now looked back at him again confused with his statement. "What do you mean?" She asked slowly. "Well, she did seem pretty overprotective over you." He told her the truth. "That time when you found out about-" He then stopped abruptly. "Nevermind." Kaname then stopped talking as he released her from his embrace. They did not even realize that they were still holding onto each other even though they had stopped dancing a long time ago, only until Kaname had let her go that's it.
"What are you talking about, Kaname...senpai?" Scarlet asked again, even though she had a rough idea on what he was talking about. Kaname looked away from her and said, "Luna has been waiting for you. You better go to her." Scarlet stared at him for a while before turning to look into the ballroom. Indeed Luna had been glaring daggers at them for a while already, while Yuki was just looking curiously, and Scarlet thought she could see jealousy from her eyes. Then her heart clutched again as she just remembered the painful truth. "I understand. Thank you for the dance, Kaname-senpai. Have a good night." With that, she bowed down and walked back to the door, before she stopped midway.
Kaname heard her stopped midway and turned to look at her confused. Luna too had a confused look on her face after she saw she had stopped midway. Then, when Scarlet was turning to the other side of the balcony, she just realized it, so she had quickly run to the door and shouted her name. "Scarlet!!!" And Scarlet had jumped down the balcony and ran away from them. Kaname was totally surprised with what she had done, and Luna had clicked her tongue before she dashed out of the balcony and jumped down as well chasing after her.
Yuki who had witnessed it all was too shocked to even ask anything. She just stood there in silence. Meanwhile, the other students were confused about what was happening from the loud shout from Luna. "That girl..." Was the only thing Kaname could mutter out of his mouth as he just looked at where the scarlet haired girl had gone to. Then he turned to look at Yuki who was still too shocked. "Yuki." He called her name gently, snapping her back to her sense. "Did you want to talk to me?" He asked, then Yuki remembered on the stuff she had meant to tell him before the interruption.

It all happened too fast.
A little girl was playing hide and seek with her playmate in the garden when it all happened. They had to be the witnesses of something unpleasant. One by one, they had to see one by one of the people they knew were slashed down. Blood was flowing down the swords of the slashers. They had been hiding in the bushes when it all happened. It was already past midnight. They were usually asleep already by that time. However, that night, there was a ball. So the two children were out in the garden to play since the ball was too boring for one of them.
They had planned to return before midnight. However, they were unable to as they saw someone suspicious, and that was none other than one of the slashers in the garden. The other girl was about to cry, but her friend quickly covered her mouth as to not let her voice be heard by the outsiders. ey saw someone suspicious, and that was none other than one of the slashers in the garden. As the images were playing in her head, Scarlet had somehow thought that she had broken the promise. She was not even sure whether she was the one making the promise. But, she still felt weak, as she only could see from afar of what had been revolving in front of her eyes.
It all happened too fast.
Scarlet was running away from Luna when she finally arrived at the old dormitory where the new vampire student resided. She was about to barge in when Luna had finally caught up to her, and she was immediately brought to the tree as Luna had deemed it dangerous for them to stay down there. Luna had proposed for them to return immediately, but Scarlet had refused. Then she saw Yuki coming to the old dormitory. She had tried to stop Yuki, but she herself was stopped by Luna.
She had tried to break free, but somehow her body would not move. She was then about to be brought back forcefully by Luna. But she refused, instead, she proposed that she would not get near the new vampire student if Luna would let her stay. Luna agreed with a condition that she had to stay with Luna no matter what would happen, and so the deal was made.
So, that was why Scarlet was only able to watch it all as she saw how her friends, family was being tortured by a vampire. Apparently, the new vampire student was none other than Hiou Shizuka, a pureblood who had killed Zero's family and changed Zero into a vampire. She was not alone, though. Zero's younger brother who he thought had died was apparently still alive, and was staying with the pureblood vampire. Kiryu Ichiru was a loyal bodyguard to Hiou Shizuka, but he was still a human.
Then other scenes were played in front of Scarlet's eyes again. Zero had managed to shoot Shizuka and broke free from her words. So, then Shizuka was now trying to revive her wounds while Ichiru was facing Zero. However, luck was not on Shizuka's side as on the other room, Kaname had been waiting for her. He apparently had been planning it all from the beginning, only to kill her and to gain her power. Not so long after that, Kaname had left her alive. Then, Ichiru came and drank her last blood while crying. Somehow, that made Scarlet sad as well as her tears began to fall down as she heard their conversation. The end of it was unpleasant as well, as Zero came when his little brother was drinking her blood and then just went away like that. Then she saw Zero was suffering from his thirst, meanwhile, Yuki was running to check on what had happened. But, before Yuki could get into the room, with Akatsuki was following behind her, Zero had been brought back by Toga Yagami who came with Kaien Cross.
Scarlet could only grit her teeth as she was still unable to move her body and her tears kept on rolling down for some reason, then before she could see further to it, she had somehow felt sleepy, and darkness consumed her once more.
"I should not have let you see all that. I'm sorry, you've to experience such thing again, and I'm sorry I don't have the power to make you forget about it." Luna said as she hugged the sleeping Scarlet, wiping her tears gently before she carried her back to her hideout.
