I stood there, mouth agape, fear taking over my body. I was standing in front of the most powerful vampire in Yxela, and I had just yelled at him. I was definitely dead this time. Abraxos must have noticed my fear because he smiled and took a step forward. I took one back.
"Where are you going little mouse"? he asked, taking another step forward.
I was shaking so hard that when I tried to take another step back I fell to the ground. Abraxos stood over me with a smile growing on his face. In my moment of fear I somehow miraculously remembered why I was here.
I..I...please, I n-need your help-p. I managed to stumble out.
His smile grew again which at this point I thought impossible.
"What do you need help with, sweet little mouse"? he questioned while squatting down to my level.
"M-My m-mum."
He suddenly grabbed my face, silencing me yet again. If I wasn't so scared I would be pissed.
"Well that's no fun". he stated with slight disappointment.
He still had my face in his hand and the tears I was holding in threatened to fall.
"Let me guess", he continued," your mum is dying and you need me to heal her. How unoriginal."
I nodded, which was difficult due to his hand placement .
"What will you give me if I help you little mouse"? he said, stroking my face.
"W-Whatever y-you want". I replied, tears escaping my eyes.
He hummed in amusement, but whether it was at my tears or question I don't know
"Whatever I want". He smirked. “Whatever could you give me that I cannot obtain myself” he practically purred into my ear, sending a stiff shiver down my spine.
“ I don’t know, anything, everything” I gasped through my tears, “Please take whatever it is you want, I don’t care just help me!” Abraxas loosened his grip on my face at my plea. Without his hand supporting me. I crumpled to the ground in a sobbing mess. God, I felt so stupid, sobbing like a child in front of this man. I brought my hands to my face in an attempt to both wipe my tears and cover myself from him. Before I could fall deeper into my self pity, Abraxas burst into laughter. I looked up at him in disbelief. He stood there, hands on his stomach hunched over laughing like I had said the world's greatest joke. His laughter echoed through the empty streets, making the silence run in fear.
“What is so funny!” I questioned with a sniffle. Abraxas only continued to chuckle, slowly squatting down to be face to face with me. With a long exhale, Abraxas finally stopped his laughter, a smirk growing on his face.
“You are quite a naive boy, it's very entertaining. It has been quite some time since I laughed so freely.” He chuckled. “I also quite enjoy this pitiful state you are in” He grinned, while tearing my hands from my face, forcing me to look into his piercing eyes and filling me with dread. “You say I can take whatever it is I desire, but what if what i most desire is you, my sweet.” Abraxas stated. I couldn’t help but blush at what he said only because of how serious he sounded.
“W-what do you mean by that?” I say while trying to regain my composure. Abraxas’s smirk grew, and he pulled me closer to him.
“Don’t be too flattered little mouse, I simply mean that I’ve been meaning to get a pet, and you seem perfect for the job” He said as a matter a factly, with a bop to my nose.
