"AAAAAAH!" screamed Riordan as he fell into Robin's kitchen. The fiery orange portal closed behind him.
"Hey," Robin said, making Riordan jump nearly three feet in the air. "We're all in my room."
When Riordan entered Robin's room, Jacquie was still getting used to all the pink. Knowing Robin, she would have expected orange or navy blue. At least black. Her room instead was at the pinnacle of girly. Pink and purple puppies and kittens covered the walls, with little pawprints painted along the bottom edges.
"Robin, I'd hate to break it to you, but I think a unicorn barfed on your walls and cleared up the glitter," Riordan said.
"Trust me, I just inherited this room and my mom won't let me change the colors for another year," Robin replied.
"I have an announcement," Kyran said. Jacque sat on the ground along with everyone else, except for Robin, who was stretched out on her bed. "Okay guys, we've just saved my home planet, hooray us. But I will need all of you to swear to keep this entire adventure a secret."
"Why?" Kirna asked.
Kyran began to explain as he paced the short distance of the room.
"You all seen something completely unbelievable and extraordinary. You have traveled to another universe. That is something no one else from this planet has experienced. If anyone heard you talking about what happened, you would either be deemed crazy or someone will actually look into it and it will be absolute anarchy!"
"Or," Robin said, "a reasonable person will think that we have an overactive imagination and leave us alone."
"That's not it though," Kyran continued. "People from other dimensions have been coming here for a while now. Repeated instances like this get the attention of certain people. We will all be in danger if the wrong people hear a word of this. So I need to swear all of you to secrecy about today."
"Okay," Maize said, breaking the silence. "I swear not to say a word about what happened today."
The room filled up with the resounding chorus of the same words.
"Thank you," Kyran said. "I have to trust that all of you will keep that a secret." "I'll be taking off now," he said walking toward the door.
"Oh." Jacquie hadn't thought Kyran would be leaving so soon. "We will see you on Monday, right?"
Kyran stopped in the doorway. "Of course. I had to enroll for an entire year," he said. "I'm staying for a while."
"That's great!" Jacquie exclaimed. Before she knew what she was doing, she was giving Kyran a bear hug. Kyran tried to hug back but his arms were pinned by Jacquie. "Okay, Jacquie, can I go now?" Kyran asked.
"Oh yeah, of course," she stammered flustered as she let go of him.
Kyran waved farewell to the others.
"Wow, that was such a fun journey, right guys?" Riordan said.
"Yeah," Jacquie replied, "but I feel like our journey won't be ending anytime soon."
