I whip around to see the three men staring at me and I stride past them then stop and say, “You gentlemen are welcome to stay or leave and Prince Jigu your bodyguard is waiting outside. It seems he got a little lost.”
With that, I marched to the door and flung it open to see Alec waiting outside. When he saw me he came forward and took his place on my right side. I gave my father one last glare then walked away.
We pass Yong who was staring back and forth between me and the open doors to the throne room. I stop and say, “Your prince is in there you are welcome to stay the night but I ask you to leave in the morning.”
Yong nodded, “Yes Lady, but might I ask for a bit of your time tonight?”
I blink in surprise but then smile softly, “Of course. Meet me outside at sunset tonight.”
He nodded and we parted ways, him going to meet his prince and me going to my training field. Once Alec and I arrived at steel double doors he turned my way.
“Are you alright Angle?” He asked
“I’m fine.” I sighed, “It just hurts that my father now wants to act like a father but it the worst way possible. I mean I know I might have gone a little too far when I started sleeping with the maids but it was the only way to get his attention. I guess I’m still a child in that way even though I’m 18 today. He had to do this on my birthday huh.” I pinch the bridge of my nose then shaking my head I reach for the door handles, “But whatever I have some targets to destroy.”
I fling open the doors and march into the pitch blackness, leaving Alec on guard outside. I take a deep breath in and then breathing out small tendrils of silver flame flew from my mouth to the torches hanging on the wall. I flick my eyes up, looking into a reflection of myself and saw my left eye shining bright white.
