My eyes turned red and black, I was furious. My wings burst through my back but It didn’t hurt I couldn’t feel anything anymore besides rage. My tail shot out of my lower back. My horns came out. My dad gave me a sick smile and his wings came out as well.
“DON’T YOU EVER TOUCH HER EVER AGAIN!” I yelled in a demonic tone.
My demonic voice has never come in the 21 years I’ve been alive. I knew Lucille was scared I could sense it. My arm started tingling, I had no idea what was going on.
“DAMION, STOP THIS! Look at your son. This is what he has become because of what you have done to him!” Nikoletta yelled at my father
She is the only person I have heard call my dad by name besides my mom. I looked at my arm it was sparking.
“He unlocked it. MY SON, YOU UNLOCKED YOUR DEMON ABILITY!” My dad yelled with joy.
I could feel Lucille trembling behind me. But, the sparks started growing. The sparks turned into a flame in a matter of seconds.
My father’s face turned to fear and disbelief when I gave an evil smile and said “This is what you get for hurting mom, for hurting Spencer. Spencer was 13. He was like my best friend, and because of what you did I had to see him go. THIS IS WHAT YOU GET FOR HURTING ME!”
Before I knew it, the fire I through at my dad hit the wall behind him. The shock hit me my wings, tail, and horns disappeared. My voice went back to normal. Before my eyes, this giant flame was destroying my childhood home. I looked at Lucille trying to stand but she was too weak to stand up. I ran over to her and picked her up. I quickly opened the window and jumped out. I helped Nikoletta out of the window.
Then I saw the roof go up in flames and my father yell. “I’ll always come back!”
Lucille, Nikoletta, and I watched the house burnt to the ground with my father inside. Lucille nuzzled my chest with fear. I stared at the ashes that once was my childhood home. Now all of my terrible childhood memories that were from that house were burned to the ground. But, I wasn’t happy. I laid my head on Lucille and started crying. The three of us sat in the grass and stared at the ashes for 20 minutes at least. I picked Lucille up and sat her in the passenger’s seat. I got in the driver’s seat. Before I left I watched Nikoletta drive away in the opposite direction we were going.
