Here I am now, walking back home from work, when the rain hit all of a sudden and I hadn't even brought my umbrella with me.
Mortals. Way too interesting.
Head held low, water dripping down my jaw and wetness seeping into my clothes. Drenched and hollow from the inside. Around me, where darkness prevailed, no soul was to be found.
Except for a distant voice. I looked up, my gaze falling on a silhouette approaching me, faster than what walking would take.
I was cursed to love. For someone who was considered Incapable loving.
And it came with a toxic feel to it, but when I laid my eyes on him, he was the only one, who, I knew I wanted to claim.
He wore a huge sweater for his petite frame and hair undone, totally disheveled. While on run, his chest hit mine, he bounced back with a gasp, while falling on his ass. I guess, he didn't quite see me in the dark.
I halted my steps and looked down at him. Not to mention, he was completely wet.
"Watch it." I said with a plain face.
His doe eyes scanned my face for any sort of reaction before deciding, for some reason, that he could trust me. Or so I thought, as the next thing he did was hop back to his feet and stand behind me.
Tiny. Was what he was.
