Kyle Price was a normal teenager like you would find just about anywhere. He has messy blonde hair and green eyes as deep as a forest. He was 18 years old, and loved sketching and baseball. He didn't play, but he was a superfan, and collected all sorts of items and watched every game. Kyle was never seen out of a plaid or flannel button up over a white shirt. He called it his, "perfect style". Kyle's USB port was implanted in the side of his neck, making the underlying wires glow up to his jawline, and just above his shoulders. Kyle lived in Steamboat Springs, Colorado. It was a lovely modern city nestled between the beautiful scenery of mountains and forests as far as the eye could see. He had two parents, and a baby sister named Laura, who was only 10 months old.

One morning, Kyle woke up to the sound of birds and looked around his room. His curtains blew gently in the breeze coming from his open window, and sunlight sparkled in pretty patterns on his floor. Kyle rubbed his eyes and looked back to the window.

"Weird," he thought, "Mom must've come in and opened it."

Kyle stretched and swung his legs over the side of the bed, sliding his feet into an old tattered pair of green slippers. He shuffled down his stairs and into his kitchen, where he found his father reading the newspaper on  a screen projecting the paper onto the countertop. On the other side of the counter, his mother strutted about the kitchen, pressing buttons on various machines which whirred to life and began to prepare different types of food and drinks.

Kyle yawned, "Mornin'"

"Well looks who's awake!" His father glanced up from his holographic news to eye his son jokingly.

Kyle made a face back at his father, pulled out a chair next to him and sat down. He shifted his gaze to his mother.

"Mom, did you open my window?" He asked suspiciously.

"Mhm! I figured you should be waking up and i figured the sounds of nature would sound better than your 'nagging mother'. Was I right?" She raised an eyebrow at him.

Kyle shrugged, "I guess. I mean, I'm up aren't I?" Kyle let out another big yawn.

"Well good, now that you're up, your breakfast will be ready soon," Kyle's mother said with a smile. "And yours will be too, honey."

"Hm, what?" Kyles father looked up. "Oh, thanks dear." His eyes fell back onto his paper once again.

Kyle fixed his eyes on the Smart Juicer machine in the midsts of all the breakfast madness. He eyes the buttons his mother had selected for his morning beverage. She had added oranges, and the glowing buttons read, "No Pulp", "Sugar 3", and "Cream 1". Perfect. Kyle hated the texture of pulp, three teaspoons of sugar was the perfect amount, and one teaspoon of cream gave the drink the slightest richness and brought down the intensity of the citrus's acid.

Soon enough all the machines dinged, buzzed, and rang, and Kyles mother made her way to each one, before walking over to Kyle and setting down his plate and drink, then giving Kyle's father his. Kyle hungrily dug into his strawberry waffles, taking sips of his perfect orange juice concoction between each bite. When he finished, he brought his dishes over to the instant washer, and loaded them, so the machine could run a two minute cleaning process and be done with them. However, before the machine even hummed to life, Kyle ran back upstairs to throw on his best smelling clothes-he hadn't done laundry in a while-and get ready for the day that awaited him.
