(Sophie) As we arrived, we looked into the stands and saw thousands of people old and young, eager to watch us battle each other. I’m nervous but ready. At least I don’t have to go first.

(Blight) Why do I have to go first, WHY? I’m going to get killed by this kid!

(Deren) The stadium was packed! I was ready. Blight was going up first against Jack. I could tell he was nervous, so I walked up to him and said: “Blight, this guy is powerful so you have two options, which are to go down after one hit or actually try, which will it be?” He said almost immediately after “I think I’ll take the easy route this time.” I said: “Good Choice.”

(Lillian) I was talking to Sophie about our matchups when an announcer came over the intercom and said: “The first battle will begin in 5 minutes.”

5 MINUTES LATER

(Blight) As I sluggishly walked onto the stage I overheard my dad talking with his friends about a bet, but he always does that. I’m not worried, but what if he bet on me?” My life is so f’d up!

(Jack) I stepped onto the arena and got ready to fight. The referee counted down. 3...2...1 - Go! I immediately rushed him with a swift, hard punch to the face. He double backed and came at me with a harder punch, and it landed in my gut. I levitated and closed my eyes. He charged me and tackled me out of the air. He then hacked at me with multiple punches. I kicked him off of me, and then I summoned a black hole. He got sucked into it and a summoned another one above me, and when he came out I had a Black Hole knife, which instead of taking blood, it takes the air out of your body temporarily. He laid on the ground for a bit and when the referee started counting, he stood up slowly, wiped his bloody nose and smiled. I haven’t done that move to many but they don’t usually get back up. Interesting. He caught me off guard with a huge ball of energy. I flew at least 10 feet back. I grunted. When I tried to get back up he attacked me more. He summoned another energy ball, but I rolled out of the way. I summoned another black hole beneath him and put another one on the other side of the arena. He fell flat on his face. That gave me enough time to activate my galaxy mode. My eyes turned black and blue with white speckles. I then rushed him with the same knife and stabbed him twice, and this time he shrunk up like a prune. He didn’t get up this time, so the referee announced the winner, which was me and then he got the paramedics to carry Blight away.

(Blight) I woke up in the hospital, with my vision blurry so I could barely see anything. I knew I was gonna lose. Dammit. I had a good strategy, he probably thought I would go down easily. I chuckled.

(Deren) After that match, I saw that Jack was a force to not be reckoned with.
