"Darling, be careful on your way to school." My mom kissed my forehead and ruffled my hair playfully.

"Mom, it took me hours to tame my hair!" She simply chuckled then kissed my cheek.

"Now go, you'll be late." I rolled my eyes, said my goodbyes and went out the door.

"Oh! Wait! Jordan, babe!-" Mom ran up to me with the necklace that was given to me as a gift from my dead father. "-Don't forget this." She put it around my neck then walked back inside without saying another word.

The pendent is shaped like a cross but there's something in between. I always thought that it was a white diamond or something expensive but lately.. The colors seem to change- Once was red then it was blue. Everyday is something different.

It started to creep me out so I stopped wearing it but mom always forces me to and since it's the beginning of a new year- I'll have to wear it daily- To school.

Now you are probably asking- "Why don't you just take it off yourself?" Well, if I could, I would have already done so. Every single time my mom attaches this necklace onto me- I can't seem to take it off. It stays on my neck until after school and then I can get rid of it- as if there is some type of spell enchanted to it.

The moment I return to reality, I find myself at school walking through the double glass doors. My eyes drift through the crowd to find my best friend trapping a cute guy between the lockers and herself.

I sigh and shake my head.

Why and how did we become best friends? We are the complete opposites.

I sneak up behind her quietly, luckily the boy got the hint and stayed quiet. I grabbed her by the waist and spun her around. She gasped before letting out cute giggles.

"My lovely wife, how dare you flirt with another man?" Bella is shorter than me but it doesn't make her less intimidating when she is angry.

She wrapped her arms around my neck with a smirk on her lips.

"You jealous, my lovely husband?"

"Mmm" Looking at the boy, I gave him a quick sign to get out of here and he did without a second thought.

Bella gasped and pouted.

"He was my pray, J!"

"He is no one's pray, especially not yours." I chuckled. "-Now come on, we have classes to attend to." We intertwined our arms and skipped happily to class.

When we were seated in our seats, Bella suddenly gasped and spun around with a shocked and excited expression. She grabbed my hands and smiled creepily.

"I completely forgot to tell you!" She waited for me to respond.

I rolled my eyes. "What is it?"

"Three new, rich male students are joining our class! And I heard that they are breath-taking!" I raised my eyebrow.

"Ok. So?" Now it was Bella's turn to raise her eyebrow.

"They are rich, incredibly handsome and there's a rumor that they are brothers!" She raised three fingers to emphasize. "There are three boys who I can take all at once!" I groaned.

"Really.. Bella doesn't suit you. Maybe a Veronica? 'cause for some reason, every Veronica I met so far is the school's famous whore." She gasped, faking her hurt.

"Maybe I really should change my name to-"

"Jordan, Bella. Class has started, quiet down." The teachers roared in anger.

"Sorry, Teach."

Since I have heard the words escaping from Bella's mouth, I couldn't wait but meet the new students..

But they never showed up.

"Hey, Dear wife, didn't you say that three new rich, extremely handsome brothers were suppose to come today?"

She cleared her throat and blushed, embarrassed at her own words.

"I am sure that they were suppose to but no one actually knew when.. Maybe they will appear tomorrow?"

It was getting dark by the time that we decided to leave school, making my way down the hall but a strong hand that grabbed my shoulder stopped from me going any further.

I gasped in horror and looked at Bella for help- who was blushing and licking her lips.

I sigh. I know that look.

I turn around to find myself facing a strong-looking chest. He is so tall. His long black hair was laid beautifully on his back,escaping to his shoulders. His beautiful sharp gray eyes that shun attractively under the lights.

The sudden burn on my chest woke me up from my dream-like state. When I finally realize what's going on, the man was kissing my neck.

I paled and I felt cold sweat running down my back. I was scared.

"Jordan!" Bella's voice suddenly echoed through the halls. The next thing I know, the man was flung over to the other side- crashing into the wall.

"Bella, what did you just-"

"Never mind about that, are you ok?"

"Umm, I think so? I don't know what happened.. I felt like..-"

"You were hypnotized?"

"Yeah. Something like that and then I felt a burning sensation that woke me up on my chest." I looked down at my chest, to find the crystal on the cross completely black with red shining through in small particles.

The man let out painful sounds before standing up and shaking off the invisible dust from his pants.

"Shit. Already? Let's go. Quick." She grabbed my hand and dragged me out of the building.

I looked back into the building to find the man gone.

I felt my head spin and a dull pain spreading through my skull.

"Bella.. I don't feel so good."

She sighed before grabbing my arm then forcing me to climb onto her back.

"Quick. Before night falls."Bella warns.

My eyes closed before I could say anything else.
