Cassidy Arellus was closing all her blinds, and unlocking and locking every window and door. It wasn't easy being a science teacher who also had OCD, especially one who was in favor of Veers. She sent the Com-M throughout the whole world, inviting students who were willing. She was getting ready to head over to her new building, but she couldn't just ignore her visitor.

"So, you say you need MY help?" She asked her guest. To her, the visitor seemed exhausted and lost. If she didn't hear him out, Cassidy feared for his lost soul.

"Yes, desperately I-I didn't know who else to turn to! My father hates me! I don't know if I can liv--" Bryce may have been a silent man, but he had a real knack for persuasion. He was wearing a black tuxedo with dark sunglasses on his head.

"Oh, you poor thing. Whatever you need, just don't HURT yourself. I'll get you some tea." Bryce nodded and watched her walk away. He walked over to look out the window.

"Can you guys see me?" He asked into her earpiece, everyone answered. "Good, 'cause I'm gettin' anxious here." He said

   Everyone was in position, they were all wearing black tuxedos and dark sunglasses; Anne was the designated shopper, and they all had a part to play. Elise and Devin were watching her from a roof nearby, binoculars on hand. Anne was waiting in nearby car, Bailey and Nate were giving orders, Liam and Tense were waiting in an alley, Kyle was in a nearby storm drain, and Abi was in a nearby shop.

Peter was waiting in an apartment across the street.

"Okay, now would be good time 'cause--I HATE tea." Bryce said. Devin jumped back when he felt something.

"Dev, what's wrong!?" Elise asked

"Rangers, their thoughts are ALWAYS so dark." He said terrified

"Anne, you're up. Everybody else, get ready." Bailey ordered, everyone went to their next positions. Peter went to retrieve Bryce, and Cassidy before things got worse.

"I hope you like chamomile, it's all I ha--" She stopped when she saw a man in a black suit and dark sunglasses standing next to Bryce.

"Cassidy Arellus?" He asked, she nodded. "You're comin' with me." Peter said and grabbed her hand, he jumped and in seconds she was face-to-face with herself.

"Who are--?" She asked

"I'm you, but with bigger boobs." Anne replied in Cassidy's voice. "Go with HIM, he'll protect you while I'm takin' your place." She stated, she watched Peter run with her and Bryce.

"Liam, rescue me." She said

"Just say the word, my darling." He expressed. Soon the Ranger horn was blaring.

Elise watched the Rangers from the outside. She extended her hand, and tossed a few whips made of water. She had recently learned that ability so it it was a slightly unstable. Bullets were shot in her direction, she screamed and ducked.

"It's not enough! There still comin' for you, Annie. And their SHOOTING at me!"

"Got it." Anne replied.

    She was drinking chamomile tea, and listening to Chapin. The door was banged open, and Rangers stormed in, Kyle included. "Cassidy Arellus! We're takin' you in! Hands up!" He ordered. Anne stood up smiled cordially.

"Ooohh, Ve-loc." She sang, the Rangers were thrown aside by a burst of wind. Liam lifted Anne in his arms.

"Sorry boys, but I'm a one-man only kind of girl." She expressed, he spun around like a tornado, and they vanished.

"Outside, now!" Kyle ordered, his troops followed, Abi watched in astonishment and noticed Kyle.

"Miss? Aren't you--?" He was getting too close to her, so she tossed him with a wave from her hand, along with his troops. She ran to the nearest car.

"Start." She said, she got in and drove away. She picked up her HC Reciever, and chimed Charles.

    "We're too late! Talbot's got her, they were really impressive." She said.

Minutes later, Cassidy was face-to face with herself again. Until, her face started to shift into someone else's along with body and hair.

"Hi! This is the real me." Anne said, Cassidy marveled at the rest of her rescuers. She jumped at the burst of wind from Tense and Liam, and the jumping from Peter.

"Remarkable! Who are you people?" She asked

"We're Veers Ms. Arellus, we really need to get you inside." Bryce said

"My secret entrance is down there." She pointed in the direction of the cave

    They entered and were awed by the interior. It was an abandoned underground mansion, and she was using it as a school. There were many rooms with the same furniture installed. The Living Area had a color scheme of browns and shades of red. Devin and Peter checked every room, especially the kitchen. It was the size of a cafeteria and there was a library which housed millions of manuscripts and media primers.

"Welcome, Veers, to your Refuge." Cassidy expressed

Cassidy didn't know much about Veers, but she wanted to. The Refuge had something for everyone. There was a daycare center for those with children, a Dining Area, a few classrooms, bedrooms, and a giant kitchen. Everyone stood quiet and searched every room.

Bailey examined some of Cassidy's research. She noticed a Term Paper titled Genetic Miraculous; it was filled with theories on the formula to becoming a Veer.

[There's a Veer FORMULA?] She thought. She put it back on the shelf, when she heard everyone's footsteps.

"All clear. You're safe now, Miss Arellus." Nate said, everyone gathered into the Living Area.

"That's MY cue to leave. Hope you guys can handle this. Gotta get back to my wife and check in on CJ." He stated, Liam nodded in response.

Bryce ran up and out of the entrance, he was gone in a second.

Cassidy was speechless, she was in a room with Veers; it was mind boggling to her.

"Am I...allowed to ask you questions?" She asked, everyone looked at Nate, he nodded

"Depends on the question." He replied

"Right. W-Well, how old are all of you?" She asked

"Old enough. Next question." Nate replied, he kept his responses short and sweet.

"Why did you kidnap me?" She asked

"Are you--!? Man, you're dumb!" Bailey expressed, Nate shot her a warning look and cleared his throat.

"Forgive her, Miss Arellus she's--" Liam explained

"High strung." Nate finished. "This was a RESCUE mission, we saved you."

"From whom?" She inquired

"Those who want you dead--Rangers AND Veers." Bailey answered.

"B-But, YOU'RE Veers." She said and ran over to the couch, she pulled out a gun and pointed it in their direction. "Stay back, or I'll-I'll SHOOT!" She said in a panic.

   Devin and Elise pulled out their guns, they weren't from the Weapons Room. The rest did what they were told. Nate knew exactly how to take control of the situation.

[She's too panicked! Devin?] He thought

[What up?] He answered

[She's not thinking clearly. She's afraid or maybe tired.]He thought

[Sleep ain't the problem, we just need the gun. She shouldn't be scared of us, we're all harmless--'cept Bailey.] Devin replied.

[Then by all means, GET IT without causing a problem.] Nate ordered

[Comin' up.] He thought and closed his eyes.

[Devin?] Nate thought

[Huh?] He answered

[Those blasters that you and Elise have? I've never seen them before.] He inquired

[Uh, no idea what you're talkin' 'bout.] He thought and breathed slowly.

He blocked out all noise, because silence was needed for this to work.

    In a desaturated and distorted blur, he could see everyone's brain waves; time basically stood still. All bodies and expressions were ceased, even he couldn't physically move.

His entire surroundings were completely grey. The only colors before him were those of sentiment. Each emotional was a fluid wave of a different color.

Bailey's was blue, clearly she was confident and not alarmed by the appending threat; Tense, Elise, and Anne's were purple; a clear sign of anger including his own.

[Pullin' a GUN on us, after we risk OUR lives--!]

[Devin--FOCUS!] Nate reprimanded. Their mental link was still strong.

[Right!] He thought back and concentrated once more. Though they were quiet, he could hear they're thoughts.

Whispers came in different basses and caused a minor headache. He continued his mission. Peter and Nate's waves were yellow; both were nervous and worried.

Liam's was green, he was naturally calm for his age, even given the situation.

[Hmph! That's just HIM.] He stated.

His extended family was easily figured out, given that he'd known them for so long; there was no surprised by any of their reactions, except Cassidy's.

Her confidence in wielding the gun was unmistakable, but her fear was secluded. It wasn't until he really targeted her mind, that he noticed the gradiations of blue to orange.

[Huh! Somebody's ALL talk!]

[DEVIN!] Nate demanded

[Gotcha! Put the gun down! Gun, DOWN.] He thought.

He had never controlled a mind before, and his confidence was deteriorating.

His eyes were closed but everyone noticed Cassidy's, they were glazing over. She was calming down, and her eyes began closing.

"Gun...down." She repeated mechanically, all took action when she and the gun fell to the ground.

   All were quiet as the hours passed. The sound of the rain kept Elise alert, she hated thunder and couldn't sleep. She and Devin were watching the city on the balcony. In her opinion, Madjesko was more beautiful at night. It was the picture-perfect town she'd dreamed of, minus all bad Rangers.

She was checking Devin's nose for any more blood, mind control had taken a big bite of his powers and energy. He hated making people worry about him like this, especially his girlfriend and little sister worrying about him like this.

A distraction would make her happy again, her smile always cheered him up.

"So, what's this about a Kyle?" He inquired with a malicious smile

"W-what are you--? talking--he's just a friend, Devin. We're not like THAT." She responded

"Not like WHAT, Lisa?"

"You know together, like that."

"Still don't know what you mean. Hey, you guys haven't--? " He pressed

"Oh! Why would you--!? We're not--we haven't--!" She calmed down when she heard him laugh.

"Just messin' Lisa. Ha! shoulda SEEN your face!" He expressed, he was the only one was amused.

Elise glared at him. She didn't care much for tricks; even though she fell prey to his punchline.

Devin's happiness began to fade, he closed his eyes and whispered.

"Someone's here." He observed

"Who?" She asked and pulled out her weapon

"Us." A voice replied, it was coming from above them.
