Over the next few days, Greer had ups and downs with Destiny right there with her. Both she and Blake got quite good at helping to put luck thoughts in her head when her abilities activated. Something that- thankfully- only seemed to happen maybe 4 or 5 times a day. By the last day, Greer was with Blake and Destiny in Blake’s room, reading some various Manga, including Greer’s favorite ‘Hue’ series.
“Blake, you are a poor boyfriend for not introducing Dee to this sooner.”
Blake glanced over. “There are so many other good ones, even some better ones.” He got a pillow to the face there, Greer smirking a bit.
“Blasphemy!” She leaned back.
Destiny chuckled. “I think we can agree on Host Club though.”
"I feel like I am in a weird AU version of Host club around here sometimes." Greer looked up at the ceiling.
Destiny jumped up, this sounded fun! Blake decided to keep reading and pretend he couldn’t hear anything. "So who am I? Am I Tamaki, or maybe one of the twins? Luce is totally like Honey and I can see Sato being 'Mommy'....."
Greer thought a moment "You are both twins if one twin was a girl. I think I'm just one of the side characters that got sucked into a crazy plot episode.... But Blake isn't really Tamaki though.... Are you sure Luce isn't Tamaki and Blake is Honey?"
"That might work, but Blake doesn't really fit Honey either..... Maybe Mori? but that doesn't fit either..... if it was Cronos, he's totally my twin...."
"Wait,” Greer scratched her head, “doesn't that mean Blake and Cronos are the twins?"
"No, see, I'd be Hikaru and he's my Karou…. or is it the other way around..." Destiny trailed off thinking.
Greer set the book down and looked up. "Then who the heck am I in all of this? Ritsu Kasanoda?"
Destiny thought for a few moments. "I think your more Haruhi, since you don't care that idiots mistake you for a boy."
Greer paused for a moment. Blake was watching for any glow but there wasn’t any. "..... It bugs me sometimes. particularly when people go 'You won't get a real man looking like that.'"
Destiny sat up and crossed her arms. "Ha, a real man won't care about something as shallow as that. They should care more that you are happy about how you look!” She put her hand on Greer’s shoulder. “Forget all those posers who say otherwise. They're not worth the dirt off your feet."
Greer nodded a bit and closed her eyes. Blake was nervous now, it was hard to tell if she was doing anything with her eyes closed. "Yeah but it would be nice to find a guy that fits what I like.... someone who is really into what he loves... has a sense of like... duty and honor that's consistent... doesn't have to be built like me. But a nice butt is a plus."
"Oh, of course a good bum it always a plus.” Destiny grinned at Blake for a moment, “Though I think I'm more of an eyes kind of person. If they have eyes so deep I could get lost in them, good chance they're my type."
"And thus Blake."
Blake got up, blushing some. “That’s my cue to leave, You have officially entered girl talk.” He walked out and Destiny waved before turning back to Greer.
Greer looked to Destiny. “Didn’t mean to chase him outta his room.”
Destiny waved her hand dismissively. "It’s ok and also, I mean, Cronos' abs didn't hurt either. And I already knew he's a great kisser, so there's also that."
Greer rolled her eyes a bit. "That is so cheating and sounds like a story I want details on later. The last time I went on a date the guy turned out to be gay and he thought I was transitioning and just in the closet about it. That.... was complicated."
Destiny was glad they were on the topic of ex boyfriends. She knew that she had dated a lot but was certain Greer had also dated some. "Ugh, I hate guys like that.... just date me for who I am, not what you think I should be....I hope you dumped his butt as soon as you made him pay for dinner."
Greer looked away a bit, hesitating. "I might have been a lil’ desperate and 16 and just had the agent tell me something I thought was a lie and he was nice and gave me presents.....and then I came to my senses a week later"
Destiny folded her arms, snorting a bit. "At least you got some stuff out of him first. Guys like that- ugh! they deserve to be conned out of everything they have for treating others like that." Destiny blinked and looked to Greer. “Wait… you haven’t dated at all since then? Not even tried?”
Greer shook her head. “Small town, word travels. I mean, it’s not a big deal right?”
Destiny smiled a bit and put her hand gently on Greer again. “Of course not, but maybe we should try getting you out there again soon. You won’t find a dream guy sitting around here. But lets get some other things settled first ok? For example, do you know where you are going to keep your talisman attached to? Luce said he could free the pantry...”
“Well…. I have one idea.”

The next day, Luce came home to see Greer arguing with the landlord and… What had she screwed into the wall. There goes their deposit, maybe they should have kept the cash after all.
“Look Young man, you can’t just go adding doors!”
Greer stood up, looking down at the man a bit. “Can I do it as long as I fix the damage? And this isn’t a junky old door… this… is ART.”
The man looked at it. “Art?! It doesn’t go anywhere!”
Greer put her arm around him. “Don’t you see? It’s symbolic…the door represents the things we want… the silver lining… framed around the American dream of red, white and blue. You reach for the door and… you were distracted.” She opened the door and it opened to a wall. “You were so busy chasing the flashy, the fancy, the beautiful that you forgot to look around and see what you have… a roof, clean clothes, food, and good people.”
He looked and nodded. “Yes… too many people try to be flashy! Chase internet fame and the like.”
She smiles. “You see it then! See most ignore me because they go, ‘that one is all muscle, no thought in her head’, but I know you have the same problem- so of course you’d see! I was debating one more but I wasn’t sure. And I could make more of these elsewhere in the building if you like…. For a bit of pocket money?”
He thought for a moment. “Maybe… rent off. We will talk later. And when you move out…”
She nodded. “Of course, fill the holes. Not a problem.”
The landlord left and she smiled. “Hey Luce.”
Luce came over and looked at the door closely. “…Didn’t know you were into art. That sounded thought out.”
Greer grinned. “That? That was a bunch of BS. This is my bedroom door. Didn’t wanna go in through the pantry.”
Luce blinked and chuckled. “Well… at least you’re feeling better.”
Greer’s smile faded. “Not really yet… just… I need something to do. Work is too quiet.”
Luce got the talisman and put it on the door so she could get in. “Sato said they are running you ragged over there.”
She shrugged. “It’s not that hard really… tighten this, grease that…”
Luce put a hand on her shoulder. “Hey, I’m here don’t forget ok? We all are.”
She nodded and went into her room. “Just wanna listen to music for a bit.”
Luce nodded and then held the door a moment. “Hey… why these colors by the way?”
Greer held up her bot plushie. “Fav comic. Don’t tell the landlord. I noticed he likes patriotism.”
