I had been training in the closed-off room for a while now and all of the targets were severely burnt and cut up. I breathed in deeply, calming myself down and returning my eye to a bright silver. I breathed in again sucking in all of the flames lighting the room. Then I walked out of the steel double doors and into the fading sunlight. Alec stood to attention when I came out and taking his place behind me we walked toward my chambers.
“Lady your father has asked you to join him for dinner in the great hall.” He said.
“Well tell him I will be eating in my room.”
“But Lady-”
“Silence Alec I will not take any more nonsense from him today! He has ruined everything by engaging me to one of these suiters. I will not stand for it, and until he apologizes and sends the suitors away I will have nothing to do with him. That's final.”
“Angel he is your father, not to mention the king, you can’t blow him off forever.”
“I can and I will.”
“How?”
“By leaving.”
Alec put himself in front me panic clear on his face, “What do you mean you're leaving?” he practically shouted.
I rolled my eyes at him, “The Silver Dragons and myself will be paying a visit to the front lines.”
Alec's face went through a torrent of different emotions, fear, panic, dread, excitement and lastly, it settled on determined. He bowed to me clawed fist over his heart, “As you wish My Lady. I shall have them assembled by dawn.”
I nodded my approval and watched him as he backed away down the hall. I then turned toward the garden where Yong was waiting for me.
