"Oh good, someone got it. Yeah so.... Guys? I'm in jail right now.” Greer had been waiting at least 10 minutes to get through the line to someone. At this point she wasn’t even sure who she got.
Blake’s voice popped up on the line, sounding surprised and annoyed. "Dewi, stop, I'm on the phone.... Sorry, you said you were arrested?” He wasn’t sure he wanted to know but there was some basic information they’d need. “Okay, let me think.... Um, first do you think any part of the incident is due to your powers?"
Greer sighed, waving to the nice officer that was watching her make the call. "I have no clue. I thought my eyes felt weird but I'm not sure if i thought shit was gonna go down or wishing for the date to end. He was handsy. Like second base level after the first ten minutes. Then I was debating calling you guys and I realized he put something in my drink cause something as fizzing and I had only gotten water. He didn’t know I guess since I grabbed the drinks.”
Blake sounded a bit angry. “He what? Are you ok?”
“Oh sure. I was pissed though so I flipped the table and shook him till the rest came out. He's arrested too by the way." She sounded so calm about the entire thing.
Blake calmed down. "Okay, possible accidental power use. We can get it waived if it becomes a problem. Taking into account it was self defense, we'll have you out within thirty minutes, less if I can get a hold of Sato in the next five minutes. One last question thought, which jail are we picking you up from?"
Geer glanced around to see the name and couldn’t see something easily. "The city one near 5th and main I think? I was trying to think calm thoughts. Cops haven't asked about that stuff. Should I bring it up?"
This was probably for the best, she didn’t know her way around the system yet and might make a mistake otherwise. "No, you don't have to tell them anything. Technically, they can't even process you as you're not a citizen. As soon as they put you in the system, they probably got a notice of your status and had to contact the government that you actually belong to. You have the right to not say anything without the proper representation and they can't do anything about it."
Another cop started tapping his wrist, glaring at her. "Ok... got it. Someone else needs to use the phone. And someone needs to go over the not a citizen but don't need a green card thing, it's confusing. Oh and tell Dewi he gets to do the 'right bout that ass' dance." She hung up and smiled politely at the officer as she was escorted to the cell she was in before. She was by herself in it at least.
Blake passed on the message to Dewi, who proceeded to do his dance, before calling Sato's office phone. When he picked up, Blake quickly explained the situation and Sato agreed to handle it.
