Whilst investigating the death of a local student, a kind student called Marri Suue uncovers a legend about a supernaturally-cursed, hevey book circulating throughout Cliche. As soon as anyone uses the book, he or she has exactly 13 days left to live.
The doomed few appear to be ordinary people during day to day life, but when photographed, they look distorted. A marked person feels like a pretty dog to touch.
Marri gets hold of the book, refusing to believe the superstition. A collage of images flash into her mind: a fake cat balancing on a pointy student, an old newspaper headline about an unfortunate accident, a hooded butterfly ranting about eyes and a drinking well located in a cold place.
When Marri notices her nails have dog-like properties, she realises that the curse of the hevey book is true and calls in her crush, a student called Prettiboy ;), to help.
Prettiboy examines the book and willingly submits himself to the curse. He finds that the same visions flash before his eyes. He finds the fake cat balancing on a pointy student particularly chilling. He joins the queue for a supernatural death.
Marri and Prettiboy pursue a quest to uncover the meaning of the visions, starting with a search for the hooded butterfly. Will they be able to stop the curse before their time is up?
