As Melissa walks through the forest, appreciating the smell of fresh air the grainy, wet feeling of the dirt under her feet, the small creatures that run around and pop they’re head up every now and then, the calming silences that rings throughout the forest, and the feeling of being able to walk around without slaving away on cleaning her owner’s house and every being in the house loud demanding voice, yelling out for her to do every single bidding they want her to do, they don’t care if they gave her a thousand things to do as long as she gets it done and over it before night time whilst her doing them perfectly without doing one thing wrong. She shudders at the sounds of whips that echo throughout the depts of her mind, terrifying memories of them shunning her for every little thing she has done wrong, every speck of dirt she left, and more echo sounds of crack horsewhips with an unmeasurable amount of pain and the metallic smell of fresh blood being spilled. As the damage was done, Melissa was left in the dark, empty room with the taste of her salty tears, her small cries and choke ups and with the new whip wounds that cover some of her old ones across her back and legs, with the smell still lingering in the air… she felt like in her past life she did some horrific things that lead to this life but as of now, her life as a slave was no more than just a hollow, painful memory and the start of her new life as a free girl. She never realized that she’d been walking unconsciously and that the sky has darkened to its jet black cloud cover sky. She then felt something land on her head, looking up as little flurries of snow started falling softly on the ground. But as soon as it touches her skin a soft hissing sound was heard as it quickly melted away leaving some steam with large amounts of heat radiated from her dark skin like she was a living raging, flame as she continues to walk. the wind howled and wailed with the flurrying snow that soon became falling more faster and harsher against the ground, a blizzard. Yet she still walks, leaving her steaming hot footprints behind.
The snow slowly covered the ground, mounting on top of each layer that builds up as if the snow tries to overlap each other like a game hop frog. The wind started getting more stronger than before as it howled and wailed throughout the winter night whilst Melissa, like a burning fire, started burning out. Her powerful heat waves that seem to generate off her skin started lacking its warmth as the more tire she has gotten, her vision blurred with tears from the harsh, icy wind hitting her face, the snowfall getting more troublesome to see through as Melissa pushes herself against the powerful gust of wind that tries to force her off her feet. Yes, it was cold and she was walk through a severe blizzard, but was she gonna stop? No, she couldn’t stop now, she finally was free from that wretched, dysfunctional house and a life of psychological fear, she couldn't allow herself to drop dead when she had a new chapter to her life….s-she couldn’t. Like a dying flame, Melissa's body started to frost over and tremble as her heartbeat slowed down by every second, her body stumbling, swaying as her vision slowly turn black. She looked for a tree as she stumbles over to it laying her back against it’s rough, cold bark as she looks up at the dark midnight sky as the snow slowly fell on her face. “This was it,” she said in a hoarse as tears flooded over her eyes, dripping down her face but freezing up before it hits the frozen ground. Like a fire when it runs out of wood to turn….she goes out as her body falls against the snow as she drew her last breath.
