~Nightwing~

Nightfox prowls the streets, looking for something, anything that could stop him.

He has one job today.

Break into the Purity building, or the superheroes' headquarters.

Nightfox knows it's not going to be easy. They have ability dampers all around the building, by all the entrances and exits. For most people with abilities, they will completely fade them, but for Nightfox they are simply a nuisance. He can't teleport past them, because they dampen Nightfox's abilities. He would appear right in a hallway where others would have seen him teleport beyond the security checkpoint and dampeners.

But he needs those files.

So he makes a plan.

Nightfox is in what he calls his "fading mode". This means that he is teleporting back and forth between a place between a place, he's almost invisible. In order for someone to see him, they'd have to know he was there and look very closely or walk into him. He makes sure no one walks into him.

Looking up at the wall, he knows that there is an air duct beyond the wall. He memorized a smuggled map of the building he bought. Nightfox materializes in the air duct, still in fade mode. He drops outside an office. Looking inside, Nightwing can see through a frosted glass door a dark figure. Blister, the plaque next to the door reads, Force B Superhero. The vigilante snorts at the sign. However famous Blister is, she still is not in Force A, or the main-line superheroes.

He continues to walk down the hall and stops at a door reading "Files". It's not locked. Prawling up and down halls of folders, Nightfox notices a square of the ceiling that has less dots than the rest of the dotted ceilings. Others would not have noticed it, but he is not like others. Nightfox morphs into his fox form and jumps, swiftly bouncing off the shelves, knowing they will not crash. He had seen that they were bolted into the ground. He immediately feels the stress of power dampeners.

"Shit," Nightfox mutters, falling to the grown while morphing back into his human form. He decides that it would be best to stay in his fox shape. Nightfox figured this out a long time ago- if he is already morphed, the power dampeners won't turn him back. He can turn into a human again, but he'd be exhausted. He tuns back and bounces back up into the hole. The tunnel above is dark and quiet until Nightfox comes upon a glass door. Light emanates from inside the room, through the door. The fox jumps up, seeing a fingerprint and retina scanner. He grunts and jumps into the door, with the intention of breaking through, only to fall back. Nightfox puts a hand on the door and pulls out his retracted claws. A circle appears from the fox's claw, scratching partially through the glass. Nightfox pulls his claw back and jumps thorough the door, crashing the circle of glass on the other side of the door. Feeling his abilities flow back to him, again, Nightfox morphs back into his human form.

The room has strong windows on one side and files stacked in folders in drawers. He walks to the "C" section. He flips through before finding a folder labeled Project Augeretis. He grabs it right when Blister and her boyfriend Perplexor burst in. Nightfox turns to them, smirking before attempting to teleport out the window. His plans are foiled when Perplexor turns his powers on himself, allowing him to temporarily steal Nightfox's ability to teleport. Unluckily for them, Nightfox, unlike everyone else, has multiple abilities. An icicle grows from his hand and he throws it at Perplexor, almost smashing through his heart, before Perplexor teleports behind Nightfox.

Nightfox growls and shadows gather around him. They create a spinning tornado, encasing him completely. The tornado blows outward forcefully, blasting the shadows into Perplexor and knocking him out. However, Blister has created a wall of flame in front of her, stopping the darkness. Nightfox feels his abilities flow back into him and with a guttural scream, he teleports outside the building into a dark platform. He isn't even sweating- this is simply a game for him, an exercise. Files in one hand, an icicle in the other, he dives backwards off the platform toward the ground.

Of course, he wasn't that foolhardy. There was a small hole in the ground filled with melted ice for his escape.

This time he lands onto a white platform. He gets up to see a bright figure in front of him.

Lightwing.

Nightfox snarls at Lightwing, sending a blast of darkness at him with a wave. Lightwing responds with a flare of flame back at him. The man morphs into a fox and starts to run toward Lightwing. Lightwing transforms partially into a bird, wings sporting from his back. He flies up, blasting light at Nightwing.

A wall of darkness appears in front of Nightfox and he jumps, bouncing backwards off it to hit Lightwing, a spear of shadow in one claw. The spear hits Lightwing's shoulder, making him lose focus and the white platform disappears. Nightfox falls into the water, morphing into a human as he does.
