"Come on fishy-fishy." I leaned over the edge of the boat. It was my three week down in Australia for my research trip and I was trying to lure in sharks so I could record them.
"I still don't understand why you're trying to get sharks to come near us," a young male voice came from behind me.
That's Jas. He's our computer guy. He also doesn't like sharks that much. He's here to help with the recording part of this and make sure we can get our credit for this adventure. We've been friends ever since he ran into class late on the first day and the seat next to me was the only one open and well, sitting next to someone a whole semester does make you close.
"Because It's fun, plus we need get sharks near here."
"Ah yes, attract some of the deadliest creature on earth in great numbers around our small boat perfect idea what could go wrong?"
"Hey, they aren't that deadly and if you don't like sharks why are you here?"
"Because unfortunately I can not do my job on land this time."
"Are you two doing okay there, no blood yet?", An australian voice called out from above us.
And that's Aurora, the third member of our little team. She's just what you'd expect looking at her. Popular, 'it' girl, top of class in Melbourne, double majoring in fashion and ocean sciences. Primarily in the midnight zone. She's also the only one of us that can sail a ship. Jas being from blustly New Hampshire and me being from Arizona doesn't tend to us being able to sail well.
"Yep, although with what Caroline's doing, I'm sure it won't be long."
"Hey, have a bit of faith in me, will ya?"
After bit more of trying to get sharks, one finally came. And where one shark goes, others will follow.
"Woo!"I exclaimed, happy that we had finally got some sharks.
"Are you SURE this a good thing?" Jas asked, looking over the side of the ship.
"Yes, calm down and help me count."
"Oh, did you just find some sharks finally?" Aurora said walking down to the deck.
"More like they found us."
"Calm down Jas, it'll be fine. The sharks won't come up here and your not going into the water are you?"
"Well no..."
"Then you have nothing to worry about."
"Aurora's right, now com-"
"Of course I am. Let count sharks now for your little project." Aurora cut me off
"I still don't like this..."
