Raven sat there in silence watching Wolf, who was Wolf, who was a wolf, run into the trees. Drops of water began to fall from the sky, and before her mind even registered it, Raven's body was in motion to pursue the fleeing shifter. Her body shrank, feathers grew, and between one step and another, she took to the air as her bird form.
The rainy weather could not cast a dour mood on Raven as she followed Wolf back to his cave. Here was another, another like her! And she would not allow him to vanish from her sight to leave her alone. She would stalk him to the ends of the earth if needs must for she had been alone for so long and now, at last, found a kindred spirit.
Spotting the waterfall that concealed Wolf's cave, she swooped through the torrential tribute and alighted on her perch, her eyes searching for Wolf's form. There in his nest, he sat stiffly, his upset emotions plain to see. Raven chirped to gain his attention, and his dark eyes glared balefully up at her. Making eye contact, Raven swooped to the stone floor and slowly shifted into her human form.
