Recap:

"Why did you think that I was not interested in you??"

"You... You...well…" she paused and thought over her reply "just have a.... Quality, I guess...", then looking at me again, she shrugged.

I was stupendous. What quality???...

Thoroughly confused, I stuttered "Qu...Quality??... What the hell does that even mean???!!!!" I finished with a yell.

She startled. I flushed.

Shit!! I am not handling Step 1 well…

No shit Sherlock... Other part of my brain called out.

Ok ok...

Deep breaths...

Breathe in…

Phew... ok, Now I am ready…

Calming down, I turned to her "Now... Where were we??" She looked... I don't know... Like I was stupid or had a loose screw or two.... I did take a few minutes to calm down.

I cleared her throat "Well, I am not...."

"Hiiii!!!! Excuse me!!!!" Someone exclaimed loudly beside me… Both of us jumped up.

I scowled. Why is everyone yelling today??

And why are they disturbing my time with the Goddess??

Does nobody here care about privacy??

Presently;

That... That man... I guess.... The one who yelled sat beside in the other chair. The one with pink sparkling dress.... And a fro fro hat... I squatted when the long feathers tickled my nose....

Achoo....

"Bless you" the Goddess muttered.

"Thank you" I murmured.

I really should ask her name first. I can't keep calling her 'My Goddess'... I ignored the man... or rather lady.... And turned to her.

"So... I believe that we have been not introduced properly. I am Adam... Your…"

"Wait... You are Adam!!!” Again the lady in pink yelled beside me. “Aren't you the one whom Mr. Hunter is looking for??" She quizzed.

Who is Mr. Hunter? I don't know him. Don’t want to know him. Too busy for him.

Brushing him... Uh... Brushing her off, I turned again to complete my mission, "I am Adam... You are???" I completed my question this time. I smiled broadly and inwardly cheered.

It would not be too early to start printing our wedding cards. I don't have many people to invite but I have many comrades, who I consider as brothers... I have to invite them... Better to select a card and start printing...

"Hey, I am talking to you??!!!!" The lady in pink exclaimed loudly "It's rude to ignore anyone!!!" He...uh.. she tittered.

Damn it, I am irritated. I just want to know the Goddess name…

Is it so hard to understand?? Can't a guy ask for his future wife's name without someone interrupting him?? Why can't I catch a break today??!!!!

I turned at her angrily and scowled in my full fury "It's rude to interrupt when two people are in a conversation!! Wait for it to end!!!"

He... uh... She narrowed her eyes and spoke "You don't intimidate me!! Believe me, Mr. Hunter is a lot intimidating than you!!! And he is waiting for you... Searching might be a good word... It's never good news when he gets up to find a person…" he.. uh.. she crossed her hands and paused dramatically.

When both of us looked at her expectantly to continue, she continued "I don't even want to think about that...."

And then he... uh.. she shivered.

"You know..." The Goddess spoke beside me and stood up "I can go look for him and bring him here. You are not well to get up."

"What??! No... I am fine..." I again held her hand to stop her from getting away from me "But first tell me... Your Na..."

"Oh Goddd!!!???" The Lady in pink exclaimed and jumped to his… uh... her feet (in pink sparkly toe heels... big heels). Both of us, startled by her sharp shriek, also jumped.

“He's here…" she whispered, loud enough for people standing around us to hear "Mr. Hunter is coming towards us!!??!"

I looked around, to find a hulky figure, coming towards us. He was big and tall (more or less same as me) but burly and dressed in black… and quite hairy... His hair was long, grown down, till long bangs covered his eyes. He had full bread.

I could only see his nose and little bit of lips... because of all the hair on him. He came walking, all bulky and like a giant.

And stopped... looked around... Looked down... then looked up... Cleared his throat...

The three of us looked at him & leaned ahead, expectant. The three of us must have looked odd. Because he looked away... then opened his mouth to speak... then decided against it... Then again opened.

We leaned a bit more...

And he spoke..."Hello...."

I was… I was... Well...

Disappointed... I guess...

He looked like a mean big man. I thought he will condone me for not meeting him on time (not my fault)...

But I still feel guilty... I should have asked someone to take me to him. He is my client. So he has full right to scold and yell at me and not do business with us. I prepared myself and straighten my shoulders to prepare for explaining myself.

He again spoke... "Are you all right, young man??"

Again I was surprised.

"You don't look well..." He paused... "I am sorry… I was late for our meeting."

He looked away again and spoke softly "My apologies…"

Both the ladies besides me sighed. I looked at them in surprise.

"Ohh... He is so cute...." My goddess put her hand on her cheek and sighed "He looks just like a Teddy Bear. And his voice... oh my my...."

And then, she fanned herself. I jumped up and laid hand on her forehead to check her temperature. She was speaking as if she lost her mind.

"Oh Hunter... He will be just fine. Don't worry about him!!" The lady in pink laid a hand on his bicep and smiled.

He looked at me and replied "Please come to my office... We will talk there" and turned around to walk off... then turn towards us... And motioned me to follow him.

"Ohh yes. You should go with him... You look fine now. Also, You had a meeting with him... I guess... It would be rude to keep him waiting." She waved me towards him and then turned to the Lady in pink and asked "Can you take me to Miss Kera??"

"I am Miss Kera!!!" The lady in pink smiled broadly.

"Oh oh well..." She looked at me and turned pack to Miss Kera “I had a delivery some time back for you and...."

"Ohh Yeah yeah..." Miss Kera slapped her forehead and then slipped her hand around my Goddess’s "You must be waiting for me to pay... I am so Sorry... Come come…" and led her away from me....

I hope you liked how the story has progressed. Believe me I know it has just been One day in 'Valiant of my Heart' but I felt that it was necessary to build up their respective lives and their meeting to a full extent to get idea of how they are, as a character and how they go from here... to becoming something more.
