“Don’t worry mom, I’ll be fine,” Sage rolled her eyes.
Sage took her things upstairs and placed them in a corner of her new room. She then headed back downstairs. She pulled her boots on and opened the front door.
“Mom, I’m going outside to explore.” Sage called.
“Okay! Be back in before dark.” Her mother replied.
Sage headed outside and walked towards the barn. The barn door creaked as it was pushed open. The stalls were elegant with carvings on the stall fronts and doors. The barn was empty and appeared to have been thoroughly cleaned before Sage and her mother had arrived. Eighteen stalls were ready to be filled with horses.
