They stayed in the cabin for three more days, every day the little hamster will look into the woods, hoping that his master will come back.
His life being a house pet is not bad, having enough food and sleep. The only downside is the bad man known as Mark keep on pestering him, poking his waist, grabbing his food or just becoming a pure menace to him.
"Squeak! Squeak!" Where are we going?
Oliver looked at the hamster tugging the edge of his pants, his big eyes questioning him. Since a toddler, he has a strange aptitude, he can read animal gestures or sometimes even understand what they are talking about.
He even dreamed of becoming a veterinarian, opening a pet clinic on his own, but that dream is all but nought, he is the firstborn male, an heir for the Williams Conglomerate.
Looking back, if he really becomes a vet, he might have handed out a bankruptcy, even though he has a strange affinity, every pet he owns perished without even living with him for a second week. No matter how well he or his staff took care of them, they all die.
"We are going home." He said, scooping the hamster up, answering his inquiry.
This hamster is really obedient and cute. He displays some human characteristics that make him really good and easy to take care of.
"Squeak?" The hamster again asked. Home? He thought that they will live here.
"Yes, home? This one is just a vacation house, recently bought for leisure. My house is in the city." He patiently explained, putting the hamster down to grab his bag.
"Squeak! Squeak!" City? His master said that the city is beautiful.
Oliver looks down when his pant was tugged, the hamster is clutching his pants, tugging him towards the pathway. Don't tell me this little one expect us to walk towards the city? Did he never ride a car?
Mark laughed at the hamster's antics, he really likes to get him as his pet. "Are you sure you want him to be your pet?" He asked Oliver for almost a hundred times already, yet the man keeps on refusing him.
"No!"
"What if the scourge that keeps on killing your pet kill him? Do you have any conscience at all?" His dramatic approach, scooping the hamster just to get bitten by the creature. The owner and the pet are really alike, untouchable!
"He hates you! And you are too stupid to take care of a pet!" His cold reply, scooping the vigilant hamster, going inside the car.
Putting the hamster who is curious about everything, standing on his tippy-toes, trying to look out again.
"Don't fall down!"
Looking back, it looks like he did not even name the hamster, he really has to look for his appropriate name.
