Zaltrius backed up his eyes turning bright yellow. "What's wrong?" Cyprus asks looking concerned as he touched Zaltrius' arm. "I-I can't be here." Zaltrius whimpers. "Why?" Cyprus asks gently. "This energy was left by a very powerful fallen angel that doesn't like me very much. I'm afraid that if she knows where I am she'll make me do something bad." Zaltrius says. "I won't let her do anything to you," Cyprus says. "But..." Zaltrius says before Cyprus cuts him off. "No buts. Come on." Cyprus says as he wraps his arm around Zaltrius' shoulders and begins leading him closer to the wreckage. "F-fine..."
Later...
"That should be enough," Cyprus says as he stands up. "Okay. Can we go now?" Zaltrius asks. "Yeah," Cyprus says. Zaltrius jumps to his feet his eyes turning light blue "Let's go then..."
Back at Cyprus' apartment...
"What do you want to do?" Cyprus asks. "I don't know..." Zaltrius says as he runs his fingers over the scars left by the ropes. "I'm still sorry about that," Cyprus says looking guilty. "I know. Besides you didn't do anything bad to me." Zaltrius says kindly. "Thanks. You know you're fascinating right?" Cyprus asks. "What?" Zaltrius asks as he tilts his head to the side his eyes turning a vivid purple. "Just... you're so different from any other demon I've ever met. It's just interesting..." Cyprus says looking slightly embarrassed. "That's a big compliment. Thanks." Zaltrius says with a smile. "I guess. I have a serious question though." Cyprus says. "Okay," Zaltrius says. "Why were you in a church? I mean you wouldn't of been able to use magic because of the holy land." Cyprus says looking curious. "I-I..." Zaltrius stutters. "You don't have to tell me if you don't want to," Cyprus says quickly. "I was trying to hide..." Zaltrius mutters. "What?" Cyprus asks. "N-nothing! I don't want to talk about it anymore." Zaltrius says quickly his eyes turning yellow. "Okay..." Cyprus says looking worried. "L-let's just watch some T.V," Zaltrius says. "Alright..." Cyprus says as he sits beside Zaltrius and turns the T.V on.
Later...
"N-no... please don't h-hurt me..." Zaltrius mutters in his sleep as he snuggles against Cyprus. "What?" Cyprus whispers. "I-I don't want to hurt anyone though... n-no please Kamin..." Zaltrius whispers as he moves closer to Cyprus. "What are you thinking about?" Cyprus asks. "Dr-Drasion? No, y-you have to go. Please, little brother..." Zaltrius whimpers. "Sh... it's okay. No one will hurt you." Cyprus says soothingly as he strokes Zaltrius' hair. Zaltrius' body relaxes and he stops talking. "There you go," Cyprus says. Cyprus glances at his watch an nearly curses as he sees the time. Cyprus moves Zaltrius off of him before he picks the demon up without waking him and carries him to his room. "Goodnight Zal," Cyprus says as he lays Zaltrius on the bed before slipping the demon's jacket off. "And don't worry. I'll keep you safe..."
In the morning...
Zaltrius woke up to the sound of two familiar voices one belonging to Cyprus and the other sent panic through him. Zaltrius' fingers went to his scars as he shivered his eyes turning electric yellow. "Just don't do anything to make him panic alright?" Cyprus asks. "I won't..." the priest says in a shaky voice. "I'll go get him," Cyprus says. A moment later Cyprus walks in the room looking rather tired. "I need you t-..." Cyprus says before he cuts himself off. "Zal? What's wrong?" Cyprus asks his worry evident as he rushes over to the bed. Zaltrius shakes his head and looks away. "Are you hurt?" Cyprus asks. Zaltrius just shakes his head again. "Are you afraid?" Cyprus asks. "Y-yes..."
