Chapter Eight

~~Sunny’s POV~~

It was strange. A small part of me wanted to trust him but then there was another part that wanted him to leave me alone. I really need Jake!

“Um, Adrian can I ask you a question?” I asked looking up at him slowly. I was still timid in his presence.

“Yeah go right ahead.” He said sitting up from his reclined position on the sofa in my room.

“What pack territory am I in?” I asked, even though I would most likely have no clue what pack it was.

“You’re currently in the Clear Water Pack’s territory.” He said looking at me.

“Um i-if you don’t mind me asking, what rank is your pack?” I asked. I was afraid that he would run a large pack because then there was no way I could escape.

“Currently we’re the biggest pack. We’ve recently gained several other smaller packs that couldn’t protect themselves, which helped us gain even more numbers.” He said smiling softly at me. That was not good news for me.

“Do you… do you know who runs the Full Moon Pack?” I honestly didn’t want to know the answer but also wanted to know if Marcus was still alive.

“Uh, I believe its Marcus Moon who is currently in charge.” He said looking at me with a curious look.

Wait a second! Did he just say Marcus MOON?! He did not steal my fathers last name! How dishonorable could you be! First, he kills my father in his sleep and then he steals our name?!

I was livid! I nearly went into forced shift if it wasn’t for Adrian grabbing my hand.

“Calm down, you’ll force yourself to shift at this rate.” He said in a soothing voice.

“I can’t! This is too much for me! I need to go out for run.” I said pleading with my eyes. I needed to shift and clear my head. I had already been out of my wolf form for far too long.

“Okay, just let me come with you.” He said. His eyes were stern leaving no room for a argument.

“Fine.” I said letting out a sigh. How was I supposed to think when he was going to be around me, distracting me?
