Saturday, finally. The day we all rest, go out, do chores or what have you.
But not me.
I had arranged for my roommate to leave the house on a quest to find groceries. I had implied that it was his turn since I had last cleaned the whole house myself while he was busy with his rather demanding freelance job. He just shrugged and walked out. He was a nice guy like that.
The moment he walked out, I scrambled to my feet in milliseconds and ran up the stairs to his room. I remember gulping as I rotated the doorknob, afraid of what I might find. What was I doing?
I find his laptop easily. It was on. And being the nice guy he was, he forgot to lock it.
My lucky day.
I quickly open the browser and go through the history for the last few days. I notice he spends a lot of time browsing boards like 4chan and reddit. The places you find everything, including things you do not want to find.
And that was the problem. Finding what you should never find.
As I look through recent days, I notice he goes to the same board daily. I click on it, but, conveniently, the page has been deleted. Then, I see another pattern. He visits the same website at night. Every. Single. Day.
I feel a drop of sweat flow through the side of my face as I hoover the mouse pointer over the page.
