When the lamb had opened one of the seven seals, I heard one of the four living creatures say in a voice like thunder, ‘Come!’ And, as I watched, there was a white horse. Its rider was holding a bow. He was given a crown, and he went off winning victories, and to win more of them.

“What do you mean you don’t know where Conquest is?!” Pride yelled into her phone. Anxiously tapping her foot onto the ground. “You said you would handle the horsemen.”
“You never said I couldn’t delegate the work. I only keep tabs on War. Envy said she would take care of Conquest.” Pride could hear Wrath huff through the phone. As well as the fact that Rose, her human master, was calling her. Wrath quickly silenced her, however. “Rose just leave it! Why don’t you just start with War?”
“I read the angel’s stupid book. I have to deal with the horsemen in order of the seals. Conquest is the first horseman to break his seal,” She scoffed remembering the deal. “You said you wouldn't ask any questions. Just get Envy for me.” Pride rubbed her temples, she didn’t think she could get headaches. Maybe Earth and all its annoyances were rubbing off on her. She got annoyed yes, but it never hurt her. Now she could physically feel her contempt for others. Oh, joy.
“Oh, yes because she wouldn’t find me being a middleman between you two suspicious at all.” She could practically hear Wrath rolling her eyes.
“Just tell her you’re doing errands for me.” Pride ground her teeth against each other.
“Oh, yes because I do errands for you all the time!” Wrath scoffed. ‘If you’re going to try to make an excuse for me do a better fuckin’ job.” Pride could feel her annoyance rising as well as the pains in her head. “It will be one of the many errands I have done for you in my, what now, 300 years of employm-”
“Enough!” Pride shouted. Her head pounded as if her body’s brain was trying to escape its cavity. Why do I feel like this? What is happening to me? Pride spent a few seconds in panicked breaths. This pain her body was feeling was new to her and she hated it. “Just… Just have a demon keep an eye on Envy. She has to drain humans so just find somewhere she goes and send me the location. I’ll just… find her there.” Another painful shock erupted from her brain as she held her head in her hands. She quickly hung up before flinging her phone across the room. I need to find out what is happening. She rushed over to the drawer she kept the tome the angels gave her. After flipping through the book she found no answers. I can always just… call one. She stared at the book for a few minutes. The weight of the decision hung heavily on her. The angels certainly knew about what was happening to her. However, she knew with great certainty that they would never help her. She got the sense that them giving her the book was pulling proverbial teeth.
With her decision made Pride decided it best to keep it to herself. So she sat in the corner awaiting Wrath’s eventual response. Holding her head in her hands.
Wrath tossed her phone down on the counter. Thrumming her fingers against her leg as she stood in anger. Fucking Pride making me deal with the annoying fairy bitch. Watching eggs slowly cook. She scoffed as she threw more salt on them.
“What was that about?” She heard Rose call from the couch. Wrath watched her leg gently sway as it hung off the couch. It was still odd to see how humans, especially women could behave this century. She sighed and used the spatula to place the eggs on a plate.
“Nothing, Pride just wants me to do something for her,” She hissed.
“Okay, when do you think you’ll get back.” Rose smiled as Wrath walked over and placed the eggs in front of her. Rose lifted her hand in the air. With a bright smile on her face, she waited for Wrath to lift her up. After giving her a death glare Wrath obliged.
“Not long, I just need to make an order. Then I’ll be back.” She turned around and made her way to the wall. She gently pulled back a curtain to reveal the portal rune. Her new job made it so she was in Hell much less. Runes were an easy way to conserve energy. Just can’t let humans find them.
Rose made a noise as she chewed. Swallowing she began to speak. “Great, oh I’ve got some laundry that needs to be done as well as some light dusting.”
Wrath groaned as she rolled her eyes and walked into the wall disappearing from sight.
