I sighed heavily.
“Fine, but I won’t like it,” I caved, disgruntled.
Morgan grinned and called her over. She shot me a smile.
“Hey, Keith!” she waved at me.
I didn’t answer and looked to Morgan.
“Be a team player,” he warned me.
“Ugh. Fine. Hi, Aspen,” I greeted her.
“Smile,” he ordered.
“Now that’s something I WON’T do,” I retorted.
“Why not?” Morgan asked.
“NO. Leave me alone. The only reason I’m even talking to you is because of this project. Also, do not call me Keith. That’s only for my FRIENDS.”
“Fine…” Aspen looked down. “Hey, so what’s my job?”
“Umm… Who’s good at drawing?” Morgan asked.
I remained silent.
“Who’s good at math?” I asked after a short pause.
“I’m okay at it,” Morgan said.
“Well, I’m definitely not,” I stated.
“I guess that leaves you and me to design the thing,” Aspen said, a grin spreading across her face.
I sighed and nodded.
“You wanna draw?” I inquired.
“Nah, I’ve seen what you can do,” she replied.
“When?” I demanded.
“Well, sometimes you doodle in class. You just draw random people when your other friend… Charles? Yeah… When Charles is gone,” Aspen answered.
“Alright,” I mumbled, pulling out a blank sheet of paper.
“Well… I have to come up with ideas… so I’ll ask Morgan. We’re making a rocket, right?” she asked.
“That would be logical.”
“Mhm… I’ll be back in a second,” she told me, walking towards Morgan and leaning down to ask him something.
