Blag!

The door quickly swings open making that sound when it meets the wall of Miles home.

There is no one in there. Nobody. Just a barely lit corridor. Miles is too dumbfounded and too shock, eyeing his door that opens on its own. He didn't believe in ghost or any supernatural beings, he considers them just folktales and just tales make to scare people hearing them. But now, he doesn't know what to say or even to feel! Cold sweat is now dotting his face.

He only snaps back to reality when the door again closes. 'the door closes and on its own.' his brain is trying to process what he is seeing, trying to think of some explanation.

"I'm just hallucinating, I'm just so tired that my eyes play tricked on me," Miles said, comforting himself. There is no way that the door opens at itself, even keyed the pin.

"I just need to take a rest and tomorrow I'll start to hunt that man again." he again said to himself before going to his room. 'That should be it, I'm just too tired, there is no ghost! None!" miles on a thought while walking, he will just drink some sleeping pills and tomorrow everything would go back to how it is.

Miles stop on his track. He can hear something. The fax machine is on, he can hear it in his study. Curiosity got the best of him, getting his gun and unloading it, he tiptoed toward his office.

Miles want to see the culprit, he might have missed it when he checks the study. Carefully opening the door, he again being greeted with nothing... The fax machine is still on, printing words in bold letter.

"I'M THE CULPRIT BEHIND THE DOOR! DO THANKS ME FOR INFORMING YOU ABOUT THAT. I NEED MY MONEY... OUR DEAL IS AFTER I KILL HIM, YOU WILL DEPOSIT THE MONEY ON THE ANONYMOUS BANK ACCOUNT WHERE I CAN WITHDRAW. BECAUSE OF THE DELAY OF YOUR PAYMENT, I WANT TEN MILLION."

" MILES, I'M WAITING"

On that night, miles didn't have a good sleep. He keeps on thinking about the money the man is asking. He's not supposed to give that much money! Heck! He is not supposed to give any money at all!!

However, after thinking for a minute, miles smiled, the man will not ask the money if the man himself is dead and he will make sure that he will be.

The light breeze coming from the opened balcony door makes James who is laying in the sofa shivers. He is in a restless sleep. Sleeping in a curled manner showing his vulnerable side. The impressive man who is always so sure of himself is showing that side of him.

The man wearing dark clothes stole a glance to the man sleeping on the sofa, getting a quilt on the linen cabinet and putting it on top of the shivering man. Brushing his hair out of his face.

Looking at the James eye bags, the man bit his lower lips, almost drawing blood. He is now feeling the guilt on what he is doing.

"I'm sorry." the man in black whispers to James after bending on his knees "I'm sorry that I always make you worry about me."

Raising his body, preparing to go out when a hand clasped his arm, James' hand. He is holding his arm tightly like a man holding on his lifeline.

"Don't leave me," James muttered. His voice sounds so sad, so lost making his guilt triple in amount.

After making sure that the man is still sleeping, the man again goes back to his position. Sitting on the soft rug, his head on the side of the sofa. Hearing the soft breathing and the beating of James' heart lulled the man in his sleep. The cat and mouse chase game that they all playing is taking a toll on his body. Asleep would not be bad.

Tomorrow, the cat and mouse chase would again continue. He needed some rest, he needed some sleep. He must win.. In this dangerous game, he will make sure that he is the cat.
