My room is really nice. I have spend hours to make it so perfect. I choose the paint which is white and blue my favourite colours. The ceiling is white but only in the center of it, the rest is different shades of blue. My desk has a laptop and a lot of room for other stuff. I usually study in my room but I will study in the kitchen if I am too bored to put the books and notebooks in my library. I also have a diary. I actually have two. The first one is where I write about how my life is going, and the second one is sort of a crush book. I have gone through many crushes. They usually last a week. I know" I just wanna find an escape from reality" but nobody can forbid me from having those crushes.

When I went to my room I didn't waste any time to prepare. I started by making a list. I went downstairs to give it to my mum. I want my mum to check it so if I forget something I can be like: mum it's not only my fault. Stupid but it works. I have never forgotten anything from the moment I started doing it.

My mom was still in the kitchen.

-Mom, here.

-Give me a minute to finish up.

-Do you want any help?

-No just check my phone I think I heard it ringing.

I searched her purse.

-It isn't in your purse.

-Go look at the living room.

-You always forget where you put it.

I went to the hall first. I wanted to make sure she didn't forget it with her keys at the little table by the door.

-Found it!

-Oh, where was it ?

-Hall's table.

-Really?!

-Right I didn't check , one sec! Hm it's Charles( my brother 😒)

-Did he leave a text or something ?!

I called my brother, someone I usually avoid.

-Tell Mom that I will come by at 9.

-It's 6.

-Didn't you say 7?!

-Something came up.

-What ?

-I said I will tell her..

-Ok, bye.

-Bye.

What was I expecting ?!

-He is coming by at 9.

-Oh, okay.

-He is always late.

-Why ?

-He didn't say ,like always...

-… I finished, let's sit and look at that list!

We sat at the kitchen table.

-So Jake, let's see.

She took her sweet time checking it.

-I think it's all there. You sure you don't want any help ?

-Yes!

-How long will you be there ?

-A week.

-Oh, now I understand the numbers!

-What ?! I am going to take just enough clothes.

-I know. I am just curious how will you fit all that in one bag!

-I was thinking I could borrow one of yours?!

-Alright but be careful!

-Oh Jake did you forget to call your dad yesterday ?

-Yes.

She gave me a look.

-Oh I see!( Ironically ) Anyway call him after you are done with packing.

I ran to the attic to get my mom's suitcase and then to my room. I finished packing just before my brother came home. I texted Melanie to tell her I had the okay. I put my phone down and my brother entered the room.
