Somewhere deep in the forest...
Kane and Raidou bring the injured Kashimba to a dojo compound, painted black. As they run into the dojo compound, a mysterious blind man, dressed in white robes and wearing special sunglasses, approached them. He lays her down on the bed as Kane stares at her.
"She will be fine, but she needs to rest." The man says to Kane and Raidou. Kashimba's wounds slowly begin to heal, as she begins to shiver and groan.
Six hours later, Kashimba wakes up, still weak, but her wounds are almost fully healed. She tries to get up, but Kane pins her down with her left hand.
"Lay still. You are not fully healed yet, you've been unconscious for a while." Kane tells her. Kashimba relaxes and she locks eyes with Kane.
"My name is Kane, I found you and Raidou in the mountains. Papa Tengu sent me out there to find you." Kane gets a hot towel and she places it over Kashimba's head.
"You are the first half breed I have ever seen. You were able to still hold your sword, despite suffering a broken hand and multiple lacerations in your back." Kane says.
"I'll let you rest here, Papa Tengu says by tomorrow or sooner your wounds will fully heal." As Kane leaves, Raidou gets in Kashimba's face and blows smoke in her face, from the joint he is smoking.
"Damn, you are one lucky bitch Kashimba!" Raidou says.
As midnight falls. Kashimba sits near a fireplace, in deep meditation and her wounds fully healed. Kane sees Kashimba meditating from a distance and she feels a mysterious force softly reverberating in the room.
"Papa Tengu said she was strong, but this power... it's unlike anything seen in a vampire. But it seems like she's struggling to control it." Kane thinks to herself.
"As a blind man, I can see beyond the realm of the living. The realm of the supernatural is world full of existential wonders, that we do not understand as mortals." Papa Tengu appears behind her, sipping a small glass of tea.
"She appears to be struggling with her vampiric tendencies and her humanity." Kane says.
"When Kashimba was born, her mother noticed that she was different. Despite that, she raised her and trained her in the ways of Bushido. The Samurai code of honor." Kane begins to think about Kashimba's upbringing and how it maybe similar to her own.
"How did her mother notice that Kashimba was not... well, normal?" Kane asks Papa Tengu.
"Simple... she saw the uniqueness of her teeth, both of her canines are twice the normal length of a vampire. If she were to bite someone, it would be twice as strong as a regular bite from a turn or pure blood." He replies while adjusting his glasses.
"So, now what do we do?" Kane asks.
"We find out what Count Marceu wants with her, it's clear that he wants her alive. But as for the person that killed her mother, she wants to see her as a corpse." As Papa Tengu walks away, Kane continues to stare longingly at Kashimba, admiring her battle to control her animalistic urges.
Morning...
As the sun rises over the mountains of Japan, Kashimba stands on a boulder, looking out in the distance as the water splashes around her. Closing her eyes, she thinks of a memory that she had never forgotten.
"You my baby, are the most precious thing in my heart. I will never let go of you, I love you." Kai says in this memory as snow falls around her and a young Kashimba.
"Well, looks like we are up!" Raidou walks up to Kashimba, eating a roasted chicken leg.
"Looks like your wounds are fully healed. Isn't this just amazing, the clear water, warm air, sunshine?" Kashimba simply stares out into the distance.
"Oh, more cold shoulder then? Okay, it's cool. By the way, Papa Tengu says he wants to see you, must be something important." Raidou says.
"Good, I can get some information out of him." Kashimba softly says. As she walks away, Kane walks past Kashimba. Kashimba stops and faces Kane, as the sun glows brighter.
"Thank you for saving my life." She says to Kane.
"Gratitude is not necessary, I did what I had to do..." Kane modestly replies.
"I knew you were watching me last night, you're afraid of me. It's okay if you are, I would be too." Kashimba says.
"I'm not afraid, more like... mesmirized." Kane clarifies.
"I see..." Kashimba says as she walks away. Arriving at Papa Tengu's dojo, Kashimba sits in front of him and she looks at him drinking tea.
"Care for some tea?" Papa Tengu pours a small glass of tea and he offers it to her. Kashimba takes the tea and she slowly drinks it, tasting a unique flavor.
"What flavor of tea is this?" She asks.
"Raspberry and healing herbs, good for the body." Papa Tengu says.
"Those vampires that were after me, what did they want with me?" Kashimba wonders as she sips her tea.
"That is what we are going to find out, the two vampires that attacked you, they tried to capture you, for what reason, I do not know." Papa Tengu says.
"They had marks on their foreheads, they look like the same mark that I have on my stomach." Kashimba says.
"Ah yes, the mark of the cursed. All vampires, pure and turnbloods have it. It's how vampires can sense and see each others strength." Papa Tengu says.
"Whatever they need me for, they will be sending their forces all over Japan. I think it's time I pack some extra heat." Kashimba says sipping her tea.
"Well, I have just the things for you." Papa Tengu rises to his feet and he brings forth a giant suitcase. Opening the briefcase, he shows her an arsenal full of weapons, created by him.
"These weapons are made by me and Kane, use them with percision, as they are the tools of a vampire hunter." Papa Tengu says. Kashimba takes the briefcase and she looks at each of the weapons, but she takes only eight of them out of the case.
"I know you will find great use of them. However, we must find the vampire that attacked you and get the information we need." Kashimba nods, her eyes glowing brightly with red energy.
