Krista's parents came home, surprised to see me. "Nadia?" Mrs Lavigne said confused. "Shouldn't you be at school?" Mr Lavigne asked me. "Well, i don't have a school..." i mumbled. I explained the situation to them and they were surprisingly understanding. "I see. Well, is all your stuff here?" Mrs Lavigne asked. "No, I wasn't given time to get it..." I said. She suggested going shopping, and i happily agreed. By the time Krista came home, I finished putting everything in the guest room. She came upstairs, seemingly uncomfortable. "She must've found out..." I thought. And I don't think I was wrong. She seemed almost scared to look at me. "Krista..." I said. "Is everything OK?" "Yeah, just a tiring day..." she mumbled staring a the floor. I grabbed her face to make her look at me. Cuts, bruises, even burns could be seen on her face. She blushed and looked away. I stood there, shocked. Shes been attacked. There was no other explanation, and something in me knew it was because of me. She held up a page covered in blood. I assumed it was hers, and the page looked to be from my diary. "Is it true?" she said, sounding almost emotionless. "Is it true that you... like me?" she asked, this time sounding on edge. "Well I mean-" I was cut off by her grabbing my face. "It is, isn't it?" she smirked. I was certain i was a weird shade of tomato red. "Yes..." I mumbled. She used my response as a cue to kiss me lightly. "Dinners almost ready, might want to get changed" she said. I was confused, but there was something about her kiss that made me feel she meant it...
