“I don’t believe it! I can’t comprehend it!” I heard Marcus scream. I was very dazed and confused.
What’s going on…?
Someone rubbed my hand, I felt something cool on my forehead.
Did I pass out or something…?
“Neither can I, Marcus, but you need to keep your voice down, I think she’s waking up.” I heard David stress. He must’ve been the one holding my hand.
What are they talking about...?
I forced my eyes open, to find myself back in the lab, in the same bed. The first thing I noticed was Marcus’ expression. He DID NOT look happy.
Oh, god, I’m remembering what happened… Marcus said: ‘David, now!’ And I passed out, which sounds like nothing, but also sounds evil.
What did they do!? Oh, I know! David looked through my memories!
I glared at him, taking him aback, but then I remembered that I had gave permission.
“Oh… Sorry.” I mumbled.
He forced a smile. “It’s alright.”
I looked back over at Marcus, whose arms were crossed. He was really mad.
“What’s wrong?” I asked with a yawn.
He glanced over at me then huffed. “I know your parents.” He grumbled. I gasped.
He does!?
I quickly sat up, waiting to hear more, but he didn’t say anything else. Luckily, David stepped in.
“They used to be councilists here.” He stated, but then didn’t say anything else like Marcus!
Argh! I need answers!
Some wet towel then fell on my lap. David took that away and threw it. That must have been what on my forehead.
He passed me my glasses, I begrudgingly put them on.
“When did you meet them?” I questioned Marcus.
He sighed. “When you were born.”
Oh, my god!
My eyes widened. “How do you know them!?” I gasped.
He pursed his lips. “Well, I know them as Richard and Maria.” He spat. I gasped again.
They had fake names!?
“Marcus, calm down. You’re scaring her.” David advised then made me lay back down.
I scowled. “I need to know!”
I shot to my feet, luckily, I was still in my clothes from last time. No more stupid gowns!
I flew to the other side of the room, making them spin around. David rushed over to me.
“Careful, you shouldn’t really use your powers.” He stressed.
I huffed. “Why not!?”
He wasn’t fazed by my yelling, but Marcus decided to step in.
“It’s fine, she can use them. Just don’t fly off like that, Sinead.” He scolded.
I rolled my eyes, making his frown deepen.
“I should’ve known… You’re too much like your mother.” He said with yet another sigh.
I am? How so?
“Please, tell me more.” I pleaded.
He put his arm around me and pulled me into a hug. “Don’t panic, Sinead, but…” He took a deep breath before continuing. “... I’m your uncle...”
