This is where all the excitement began between Sophia and I. The week after prom, we’re doing all different types of things what typical relationships do. I could honestly say we we’re both off the charts with each other. Flirting whenever we seen each other in the hallways during the rest of the school year, hung out after exams, and watched movies with some friends and her family. The date was on a Monday where my world was not even on this planet… it was literally out in the universe! Sophia made me feel like the happiest dude alive. Sohpia and I would see each other right before 1st hour class which she surprised me with a strawberry banana smoothie. Which is my favorite smoothie of all time! It was an awesome way to start the morning if you’d ask me. She didn’t do that every day though; it was once or twice a week. Then we chilled with friends until the school bell rang for the first class of the day. If we don’t see each other in the mornings, we either flirt with each other on social media or chatted in a specific location somewhere in the school. We would meet in front of one of my classes, one of hers, or walking in a specific route to both of our classes. It wasn’t too much and it wasn’t too little of seeing each other. The social media part wasn’t that much either. One time in my science class, I let my friend Andrea use my phone and she tweeted at Sophia saying “ooh I want you so bad right now.” I mean, I was okay with it because we’ve been friends for a few years. Andrea said things like that and the conversation went on for nearly the whole class hour. The other kids in my science class were looking at me with a dirty look. I didn’t know what to say to them so I just looked at them back and shrugged my shoulders. The times we seen each other in school was usually the mornings, the 6th hour class of the day which was around 1:00, and right before the very last class of the day. Sophia’s 6th hour class was history and was on the opposite side of the school. My plan was to drop her off a few minutes before the class started because I didn’t want to be late to my math class which I usually am but I also had an A in the class so I didn’t care as much about attendance. I remember one time I stayed in her history class and the teacher said, “who are you?” I responded, “I’m an exchanged foreign student.” The teacher replied, “okay you can leave now and stop joking, no one told me I had a new student in the last few weeks of the school year.” A few minutes later, I came into class late and my math teacher told me “if you’re tardy two more times, I’m dropping your A into a B.” I was shocked. So, then I started going to class on time again for the last three weeks of the year. After the last class of the day was over, I usually just head to my locker then meet up with some friends by the gymnasium. Sometimes I would go to her locker and put my hands behind her eyes from behind with a girly voice saying, “guess who I am?” She obviously knew it was me because rarely none of her friends does that. Whenever Sophia had work later in the day, she would go there. If she didn’t have work, she had to be by the auditorium because she was the captain of the pom pom’s team. I remember a time when one of our friends wanted to see us kiss near the gymnasium. He never seen us did before and he egged all our group of friends to see. Half of our friends were chanting “kiss kiss kiss” and the other half was like bleh. There was a good dozen of our friends and about ten other people that none of us doesn’t associate with. Sophia and I didn’t want to. So, I put a folder on the side of our face to make it look like we kissed but then my friend who wanted to see us kiss, shoved our faces together for like 10 seconds and every one of our friends were laughing because it was all planned! Sophia and I had the same attitude. We were both like “okay whatever you guys seen us kiss, not a big deal.” The weekend that was coming up, her mom invited me and a few other friends to a drive-in movie theater. It was an event of two movies. We all came in two separate cars. One car was Andrea, her boyfriend, Sophia, and I. The other car was her parents, Andrea’s sister and one of her sister’s friend. Andrea had half the car to them and the other half was to me and Sophia when we were getting set up for the movies. When Sophia’s mom asked us if me and my friends wanted snacks before the movie started, we all said no. When four of us got everything set up in the back of the car, I gave her a kiss while my body is slightly touching her and my right hand on the top of her left ear. At that moment, her mom ended up being right outside and saying, “oh my gosh” with a smile on her face. Sophia’s mom looked at her husband and he just continued to eat the popcorn that they just bought and he didn’t think it was a big deal at all. I freaked out a little bit but I just looked at her mom and said “it doesn’t look like what you think we’re doing… I just got rid of something on her lip.” Sophia’s mom most likely knew what I was trying to do but anyways, she was cool with it surprisingly. After experiencing that situation, I just relaxed until the movie started. Andrea ended up making out right beside us when the movie was a quarter way through the movie. Sophia and I we’re saying “wow can you guys make out louder or something?” We basically made fun of them but they didn’t stop for about ten to fifteen minutes or so. I was thinking I might pull a move and start making out with Sophia. Therefore, I did and for a few minutes our friends stopped making out and started making fun of us! It was a funny moment and we ignored them like they did to us. When the first movie ended, both of our friends fell asleep. Sophia and I both looked at each other steadily. I asked her if she wanted to watch the second movie or continue what we’re doing. She said she wanted to watch some of it but she had the urge to kiss again. Therefore, we continued kissing and whispering to each other throughout the whole second movie. Honestly, I don’t even know what the movies were called. Sophia, her parents, and I were basically the only ones that were up when the movies ended. I thought it was weird that us four were the only ones awake the whole two movies. After the movie ended, us four had to wake the others up. Sophia and I had to wake up our friends while her parents go and wakes up her sister and her friend in the other car. Next, we had to pack up all our things, get ready to leave. Everyone had to go home on this wonderful drive-in movie date. About a week later, exam week was here. I would say she invited me over twice. The first invite we didn’t do much, she just wanted to see me before she went to work. Other than that, it was just hanging out for about a half hour to an hour long. The second time I went over nobody was home except her and her two dogs. Fifteen minutes has passed and I had the idea of smooching her on the couch but instead I turned on the television to the food channel. Five minutes has passed and it got quiet and boring. When I noticed her not say anything for that five whole minutes, I just said some jokes just to throw some excitement. Few minutes later, we were both underestimating who had the funnier jokes. Then it became a wrestling match on the couch and then onto the floor. Soon enough, we had that eye contact and so we ended up smooching each other. This sums up one of the best three weeks of my life!
