It's Always Been Here

It's Always Been Here

Nov 01, 2019

We all want a person who's demon plays well with ours.

Its always been there. Don't ask what it is because I don't know. The only thing I know about it is...................... Its dark. Very dark. It appears as a shadow person to me because that's all my human brain can comprehend about it. I don't know were it came from and I don't want to know. It follows me everywhere. It always walks behind me in my shadow. If I turn around fast enough I can see it. It brings me misery. It made my life dark.

Anything with light in it ran from me. But it also protects me. It keeps me alive so it can watch me suffer longer. I can barley sleep because of the nightmares it creates. But I cant stand to be awake because my life is a nightmare in itself. It drove me insane. My parents had to put me in an asylum. I've tried to tell them about the darkness before. But they cant see it. Only I can see it.

The asylum has to keep me constantly restrained and under constant supervision. Anytime i'm unrestrained I try to scratch the darkness out of me with my nails. I'm covered in scars from the scratching. I'm barely lucid anymore. I cant remember a time in which I was sane. I sometimes wonder if I've imagined the darkness. But its been here to long for me to know if I have.

I think its a punishment but I cant figure out what I did to deserve it. But you don't always have to do something to get punished. People get punished for things they never did all the time. I pulled against the padded restrains and broke into a fit of hysterical laughter. Its Ironic. The innocent get punished into madness until they are the darkness you fear. The thought just made me laugh harder. My demon purred at my madness. I started to run out of air from my meltdown but I didn't stop laughing. I laughed until I passed out.

After I regained consciousness from my "fit" as my team of therapists call it my demon was hissing at the door. A few seconds later tree of my therapists and four security guards came in. One of them got on his knees in from of me. He has been trying to help stop my demon "delusion" since I got admitted here. He spoke softly trying not to agitate me, "There's another patient that just got admitted. She's female and your age. She claims that a demon attached itself to her. She described everything similarly to what you've described. So we've decided to put her in your room with you and see how it goes. Is that alright with you?"

My demon growled at someone interfering in our space. I tilted my head and darkly smirked at the therapist, "Pray that my demon likes hers........ There will be Hell to pay if they don't get along." I chuckled manically, "Hell to pay......"

One of his colleges frowned and addressed him, "Are you sure this is a good idea sir?" He looked back at the one that spoke, "We have no other option. We have to try." With the last word spoken they left. Demon crawled over to me and sat at next me on the bed set next to the chair I was currently strapped to. It petted my hair. It felt like fire. Like we are so different we are not meant to touch. At this point I was so insane that the fire felt soothing. I heard a wheelchair get wheeled down the dimly lit hallway before my metal door was unlocked.

Three guards wheeled in a girl the same age as me. She stopped her manic struggling and froze. I froze as well. But we weren't looking at each other. We were looking at each others demon. Hers was grey with dark blue eyes while mine was black with blood red eyes. My demon growled at hers. Hers growled back. While we both waited for our demons to decide our fate the guards left. Locking the door behind them. My demon continued to growl telling the her darkness that it was dominant.

Eventually her demon whimpered and bowed down. My demon hummed in satisfaction and crawled into my lap. It stared at the cuff that restrained my left arm to the chair for a minute until the lock clicked open and fell to the floor. I petted my demon as it purred. I finally looked at the girl. She looked as insane as I was. We stared into each others eyes until we started hysterically laughing, "My demon likes yours."

This is just short stories/one shots of Girl Love. The themes to my delight are all over the place. There's fluff, action, nightmares, drama, supernatural, a random poem, there's even a demon chapter in there somewhere, and many more. I hope you enjoy. :)
