The very next morning it had poured out.
Not just for a few seconds, no, it seemed to have rained forever.
Angela quite liked the rain.
She loved it in fact.
Her parents, however, could care less about it.
They would say it messed up their gardening, make them tired, whatever excuse they could come up with.
Angela didn’t have a care in the world for what her parents thought of it, so she snuck out of her new room with her rather large rain boots on, and stepped out into the damp world, taking a deep breath of fresh air.
“Nice day isn’t it?”
A voice said from in front of her, startling her.
The owner of the voice was standing directly in front of her, a goofy smile on their face, their hand out in front of them, asking for a handshake.
“Oh i’m sorry, did I startle you? I didn’t mean to..”
They said, hand still in front of them.
Angela stared at the hand, then stared right into the strangers queer looking eyes.
In fact, everything about this person was queer.
They had clown makeup on, the cliche type, as well as shaved hair. They wore a thigh length plaid dress and black leggings and brown boots, but they had a masculine voice, why had they been wearing a dress?
“Um...are you okay?”
They asked, tilting their head, making Angela pop out of her dazed state, taking the strangers gloved hand.
“I’m great, the names Angela, who are you? And where do you live?”
“Glad you asked! My name is Calliopes, its a pleasure to meet you”
The stranger- er...Calliopes answered, practically vibrating.
“Nice To meet you Calliopes.”
Angela said, smiling, asking again;
“Where do you live?"
Calliopes’ demeanor changed, They seemed nervous now.
“T-Thats not important, now is it? Want to be friends? Great! I’ll show you my favorite hiding places.” They said, wrapping their arm around Angela’s shoulder, walking out into the street and onto the sidewalk.
