I sat in my room, highly depressed, thinking about what happened. I looked at my posters and things in my room. I should be grateful for how I looked. I shouldn't care about what people said to me. So I’ve decided to ignore.
“Heart!!” my little sister Naddie called.
“Yes?” I replied.
“Dinner is ready!!”
“Ok!” I giggled because I love Naddie’s voice. I walked downstairs and joined them at the dinner table. “This looks so good,” Genesis, my older sister complimented.
“It does!” Naddie and I agreed in unison.
“Thanks, guys,” Richelle said. We sat at the table. My mom made some juicy, whole white meat chicken. With some lettuce on the side, and glasses of Coke.
“So,” Bryce started. “How was school today girls?” Naddie abruptly jumped up and down in her seat.
“School was so fun today!” she squealed in excitement.
“Explain Naddie.”
“So we have a new guy, he's so handsome!! I said hi to him and he said hi back. Then we started talking!”
“Looks like someone has a crush,” Genesis teased.
“No, I don't! Well, maybe I do…”
“Well it's ok to have a crush,” Richelle said.
“Genesis!” my dad said. “How was your day?”
“My day was great. I finally have a boyfriend now!” Dad started to get overprotective.
“Who is this… boyfriend?”
“His name is Maxwell. We’re going on a date Friday.”
“Oh that's great!” mom said. “I hope you guys have fun!”
“Thanks, mom.” Mom smiled then looked at me.
“What about you, Heart? You haven't talked all dinner.”
I hesitated. “My day was… I don't know… It wasn't as… you know… as good.”
“Is there something you want to tell us?” I bawled my eyes out, so hard. After that, I told them what happened.
“Well if you want to talk more, we're here,” Genesis emphasized.
“Thanks,” I mumbled, wiping my tears. Once dinner was done, I ran upstairs and closed my door. When I landed on my bed, I started crying more. I honestly didn't know what to do no more. But getting that off my chest left a good feeling in me. I fell tired and went to sleep.
