Cooler descends from the Big Gete Star followed behind by a swarm of his soldiers ready to pounce. A grin on his face as he gets a glimpse at the Z-Fighters standing together in defense, Cooler has his arms still extended out in invitation. He signals his soldiers to charge straight at them. The Z-Fighters prepare themselves as the first fifty soldiers are incoming.
“Get ready!” Piccolo shouts.
The soldiers clash and no more words were spoken as ki blasts and fists flying everywhere. Krillin and Yamcha fight back to back as 18 and Cheelai shoot at the soldiers incoming. They’re everywhere. Piccolo and Gotenks hold their own when they see Gohan nowhere near any of them. Piccolo looks above them and sees Gohan face to face with Cooler.
Above them all, Gohan stands face to face with Cooler, ready for battle and prepared for anything. He gets into fighting stance as Cooler stays unfazed. Without hesitation, Gohan charges at him and Cooler immediately blocks it. One punch after another, Gohan is not giving Cooler any room to breathe as he unleashes an onslaught of punches. Cooler stays concentrated, blocking and dodging each punch he can before Gohan finally lands a blow straight at his chest, sending him a distance away. Cooler is impressed but notices Gohan is already firing a kamehameha straight at him. He manages to smack the blast away and charges straight at Gohan after firing several ki-blasts to distract him. Cooler lands a huge blow to Gohan’s stomach that makes him cough up blood, but Gohan with all his strength quickly grabs Cooler’s arm, bringing him close and elbows Cooler straight in the face.
Cooler and Gohan stand a distance away from each other. The two catch their breaths ready to go for another bout.
“I’m impressed. The son of Goku isn’t just a title” Cooler says.
“I’ve had my fair share of fights” Gohan responds.
“I’m fully aware. But, none will match to fighting me.”
“Let’s find out.”
Gohan channels his ki and his energy rapidly increases. He shouts off the top of his lungs as he goes Ultimate. Cooler waits like he’s been anticipating for this to happen and desiring more. He sees Gohan ready in fighting stance and waits for Gohan to make the move first. Gohan immediately disappears and Cooler looks around for him when he sees a punch go straight at his face and a knee to his chest. Cooler tries to back away but Gohan is unleashing his full fury at him. He tries to dodge and avoid any further harm, however Gohan is not letting him at all. A Kamehameha. A Maseko. Various ki blasts. Gohan is putting in his all against Cooler. The other Z-Fighters are still fighting the soldiers before noticing Gohan is getting the upper hand against Cooler. They see Gohan rapidly punching Cooler to the ground and each punch sends a wave of energy. He backs away from the massive crater he had just created and charges up the biggest kamehameha wave he could and fires it right at the crater.
Gohan is out of breath as his energy is starting to deplete and he lands back on the ground. He catches his breath as the dust begins to settle within the crater. He knows that wasn’t enough against him.
“Well. That was a close one.”
Gohan prepares himself as he sees Cooler come out of the crater barely scratched, wiping rubble off of his shoulders. He’s serious.
“You’re actually pushing me to try.”
Cooler quickly fires a ki blast at Gohan and disappears. Gohan looks around him before sensing right above him Cooler with a massive Death Ball in the palm of his hand.
“See if you can push yourself to dodge this one!”
Cooler sends the Death Ball straight towards Gohan on the ground. As Gohan mentally prepares to confront the attack, Goku, Broly, and Vegeta arrive just in time and deflect the attack away. Cooler smiles seeing the three saiyans have finally arrived to fight.
The Z-Fighters continue to fight the soldiers when several death beams pierce through a few of them and the all see Frieza take on a soldier, sending them to the ground. Frieza stands beside the four as they look above at Cooler. Behind Cooler, the Armored Squadron arrive and it’s a stand off: five against five.
