It was May 16th, 2067, when the bell rang for school to end. Emma Patterson jumped up from her seat and ran out the door. She had shiny, wavy hair with blonde highlights, blue eyes, and braces. Emma was excited to see her cousins in Wisconsin. They were going to stay up late, gather 'round the campfire, tell scary stories and legends, and most of all, venture the forest.
"I'm going to miss you Emma!" exclaimed Sarah, her best friend. "I wish I could go with you, but have fun! And FaceTime me!"
"I'm going to miss you too!" she replied. "And yes, I will call you!"
Emma walked on the bumpy sidewalk to get home. 'They need to fix this sidewalk,' she thought. When she arrived at her lovely two-story house, she watered the lovely daffodils and roses. Her house was made out of brick, sturdy, and was new, so there were hardly roaches, mice, or spiders.
"Hello, Emma!" her father Mike greeted.
"Hey, dad!" she called back.
"How was your day?"
"It was great. How was yours?"
"Business as usual." Her dad worked as an associate for a well-paid business, so they were rich.
"Where's mom?" she questioned. "She would be home by now."
"Still at work," followed with a sigh. "She's working overtime."
"Oh."
Emma walked upstairs to her bright, white room. White dressers, white bed and a white bedroom set, white curtains, white clothes, white backpack, and even a white television and a white phone. She flopped on her bed and took a nap.
