Side Story: Bounty Volume 2

It was the 4th day. The time was running out, the hunt for Bottle has led him to many different areas. After leaving Bottle's apartment, he's heard many rumors.

He went to Junker Town a rural part of Omega only to meet crazy junkers who were slaughtered by him. Then he heard another rumor about Dark Side. This appeared more plausible as due to the uproar and so he went.

The blockade was well organized. Regular patrols would scout the nearby vicinity and radio central command, notifying them ahead of time for any danger. Trojan dropships would regularly come by with reinforcements and leave after several minutes.

The dropships themselves were used as a wall, lined up and used their massive haul as a physical barrier. Lined with sandbags and several landmines placed in strategic locations, any attacks on the blockade would prove difficult to say the least.

"Halt! I'm sorry sir but this is a quarantine zone, I'm going to have to ask you to leave."

"Tic, come on now I'm looking for someone, now out of my way."

"You will need to do that another time. Now please back away from the blockade."

Kane didn't comply, he stood and observed his surroundings, learning, hearing, and inscribing his brain with what he's seen. [Sigh~]

"Sir Imma have to-" [Crack!]

Kane kicked the officer right in the dome, the helmet bend inward and killed the officer. Blood leaked from the head of the dead body.

"!?!?" 10x

This caught the attention of 10 officers some were shocked and frozen in place while the others quickly pulled out their sabers.

Kane left no room from comfort and immediately jumped to a nearby officer, kicking him in the chest. The chest plate cracked and the officer flung back crashing into a wall.

Two officers came up from behind, with their plasma sabers ignited. Kane dropped low and did a sweeping kick, knocking down both the officers. As they tried to get up from the ground Kane raised his leg high in a 180 degree.

"Half Moon" [Crack!]

The leg came down so fast it created an arch leaving afterimage. One officer's head was blown off. The 2nd officer on the ground quickly grabbed the saber and swung.

It struck Kane's arm, however he wasn't deterred. He grabbed the officer and threw him across the entire area and knocked down some officers that were approaching.

As for Kane's arm it quickly regenerated, the burnt skin fell off as an automatic defense mechanism kicked in. The gaps were soon filled with a gel like tissue which quickly transformed into skin.

"Officer Enix! contact central command! We'll try to shut him down!"

"Yes Sir!"

Many officers rushed in the affray, swinging their electric batons and plasma sabers.

Their bodies were shattered. Mind you the MPD also had some biotech, which boosted their own strength, and yet Kane made short work of the remaining MPD officers. After all his biological enhancements were the highest of quality made specifically for war.

"Tic, they aren't even worth my time..."

"Ho oh~? Then maybe I could be of assistance"

He was promptly stopped by a man with a silver mask. He wore a very professional yellow suit and a blue tie. And on his arm was a bright red band, of the imperial eagle.

The man in the silver mask pulled out two small daggers from his suit. Both had a clean gunmetal grey color, reflecting the light as he waved it in front of him.

"The name is Shake, a pleasure~"

"Tic, great another one to the slaughter."

Shake ran to Kane with both daggers getting ready to strike. Kane himself prepared his leg to do a swift kick.

[High Tide!] Kane using his martial arts delivered a swift kick to the head. Shake quickly slides on the ground and dodges it and delivers two swift cuts off his own to Kane's other leg. One slice on the achilles heel and another right behind the knee.

The cut itself wasn't really deep, in fact Kane's muscle blocked the dagger from penetrating deeper due to their shear strength.

"Now, now~ this way!" Shake pulled on his dagger, it appeared a very thin silk like string was attached to Kane's legs that came from the tip of Shake's daggers.

Such a jolt would knock anybody down, sadly this was a man whose body could not be controlled by such childish antics. Kane's leg did get pulled, however it was only a millimeter.

Kane quickly returned the favor and pulled his leg back. Shake tried to release the daggers but it was too late, he was already flying toward Kane!

"Oh my!"

[High Tide!] [WHACK!]

A powerful kick to the head, flung Shakes entire body backward, and now he flew away from Kane. It was surprising his head wasn't blown off, perhaps his mask had absorbed some of the impact.

Shake now laid on the ground, his mask was broken along with his jaw. Several teeth were missing and both his nostril dripped with blood.

[Cough] "A-H....?" He tried to speak but he couldn't, as his mask fell from his face, the last thing he witnessed was another kick coming right toward his face.

[SPLAT!]

"Tic, at this rate I'ma have to kill hundreds of people before finding him again." [Sigh] Kane walked through the blockade and into Dark Side.
