"Wake up stubborn maiden..." a voice of a thousand female voices was heard, a stronghold voice in the lead as they're words echo through Melissa's mind. Mellisa's eyes fling open as she was laying on the ground of a dark empty room except for one thing in front of her. A large flame, a gargantuan flame with 30 golden, beautiful eyes with pupils in shape of a 7 pointed star it was almost unbelievable to what she was seeing as she was staring, gazing at the firey entity in her field of vision. It was then the thundering voices started again breaking her out her deep thought "stubborn maiden, to hard to break, to curious to die. Like an undying light. Young, curious, naive, stronghold for they're freedom. Even if it holds harsh consequences; you still breakthrough with flying colors " it was then Melissia eyes widen as the "I'm....i-i'm dead?!" she said quietly as it cracked to the thought of her finally escaping the hell hole she destroyed, had fate and karma finally got -" calm down young one, you are only experiencing near-death" like that made that better for her "don't sass me stubborn maiden, you couldn't if you even try" the voice said to her as it only raised more questions for her, she then spoke up "who are you? You seem more sentient than a conscious?" she questions the flaming entity as it stood quiet, its eyes expressing something she couldn't tell? Sadness? Sympathy? Pity? She couldn't comprehend what expression the entities eyes were giving her, it was then the voice spoke again "in time's due thy will know truth young Collen" before Melissa could reply, she fell back against the ground as she woke up again... this time it felt warm, the fresh smell of herbs and cinnamon attack her nose as she turns around into the soft, embraces of what felt like a thousand cloud her body was under. It then the thought finally hit her mind as she stops rolling around the soft bedding, "this...wait w-where am I? " lifted her upper body as she sat on the bed; her eyes still blurry as her vision was coming back to her whilst she rubbed the sleep out her droopy, tired eyes. As soon as she has gotten her vision back she looked around the room as it was pretty big, as well as she knows. This room was like a giant compared to her old, tarnish one in her owner's house, the room had an amber wardrobe with little stuff on top of it, a small table with a few chairs aside of it, a room with mild furniture? that's a luxury for Melissa. She'll be lucky to even have a room or one for herself in her owner's house! As she looked around the room, analyzing every speck, every nook and cranny until a long, loud creak was heard. startled by the sudden sound, she jumped off the bed, hiding behind the side as she peeks up to see the door widely but no one there. Discombobulate, she slowly got up from her hiding spot as she lurched towards the door, feeling uneasy as she crept towards the door as she poked her head through the door frame, looking down the short hallway"ah, i you are awake little firefly" Melissa jumped away from the voice behind her as she ran out the room, fleeing down the hall that seems to get longer and longer the more she runs. Flabbergasted, she stops running as she gasps for air with a growing headache. "Are you done fooling around? I don't appreciate you running around my house like a chicken with its head chopped off" Melissa looked up to see a woman with white, milky skin as her hair was the same color but her eyes, they look so surreal they were pale, argent blue with silvery pupils, she seems to lost her words as she stares self-consciously into the women's eyes. Melissa fumble with her words as she looked down, embarrassed "i-i'm...I'm sorry ma'am" the women just stare at Melissa as she sighs "don't call me ma'am, makes me sound old. Call me Helima" it was when it finally hit Melissa "Ummm ma'am- I mean Helima, how did I get here exactly?" she questioned the women as Helima raised her brow "the tree whispers sounded distressed and kept telling me about a maiden, so I'd follow the whispers, then I saw your firey aura by a tree in the middle of the angry blizzard. I was surprised you were still alive so I took you in" Helima explained as Melissa forgot about her walking through the blizzard, she felt stupid for doing something so halfwitted and dangerous she only thought that she couldn't feel the cold since waves of heat was seeping of her skin like a fireplace! But sadly she was fooled herself to think she could walk through the blizzard. She only sigh as Helima opens her mouth "well enough bickering, let's get ye some breakfast and tea" Melissa stood quiet as the pale eye lady walk down the hall whilst the confused maiden cautiously lumber behind the lady as she examines the little trinkets and strange objects on the lady's house wall, what were they? They seem more than just house decor? They felt strange but good to her "you can sit right there, firefly" Helima's voice broke Melissa out of her deep thought, she looked over to a table with two plates of food on it, just the look of it made her stomach grumble in delight she walked to the table taking a seat as she started stuffing her face. Helima chortle as watch the young lass scarf down her food
"Calm down my child you're going to choke" Helima warned Melissa as she started to eat more slowly. Helima thought it was the perfect time to question the young girl "well since you just wake up can I ask you a few questions?" it was then Melissa stop midway with bread crumbs and egg falling off her face with her cheeks full of her chewed up food "don't worry I'm only gonna ask like 3-4 questions, if you were out for a bad reason I wouldn't really care. unless you're a witch hunter?" it was then the women's eye gleam dangerously with a slight glow, Melissa gulped down her food quickly whilst almost choking "n-no, I wouldn't you seem too nice to be a witch! now that I know now that explains the strange stuff on the wall" Melissa stammer as the last part of her sentence died off.
"Very good!" the witch perked up as she started to move on "now mind if you explain why were you walking through the blizzard-like a mad lassie?" the witch asked as Melissa looked down at her knees as the room goes quiet, after a few minutes of silences Helima spoke "judging by the marks on your body and the ripped dress your an escapee?" melissa looked up quickly as she looked stunned by the women quick guess "umm something like that I suppose" she said quietly as the witch sighed "well young one, what is your name?" the lady asked as melissa ponder a little "melissa, it's melissa" said stated as the witch smiled "well melissa, I hope you and me get to know more about each other while your here" Melissa grins widely as the witch shook her hand in agreement "now let's get you a bath and better clothes so you won't be noticed" the wich added on to her last sentence. Melissa was happy with her newfound life, hoping nothing could destroy it and in due time she could tell the witch about her new-found abilities.
