'I can understand that but you are stuck with me for the time being. You won't be able to be rid of me until I have been restored enough.' it explained.
"Great. Just great." I muttered bitterly. A knock on the bathroom door made me jump again.
"Are you alright in there? I heard you fall." My dad said from the other side of the door.
"Yeah, I'm good. I'll be down in a bit for breakfast." I told him.
"More like brunch now but I'll get started on cooking it. Is there any thing specific that you what to eat?" He asked me.
"Banana pancakes and grape juice." I replied automatically.
"Why am I not surprised? Alright, with or without pulp?" He asked.
"With is fine," I told him.
"Alright, I'll see you downstairs when you're dressed."
I held my breath as he left before turning my attention back to the creature.
'For future reference, you can communicate with me without speaking out loud.' It informed me.
'That would have been nice to know earlier.' I told it.
'Sorry about that. And what are "pan-cakes"?' it asked me. I chuckled.
'You'll find out soon enough,' I said as I got off the floor. 'By the way, what is that churning in my gut? Is that you doing that?'
'Ah, yes it is. I am moving some... things around in my stomach to aid in their digestion. Would you like me to stop?' the creature asked me.
'I would be grateful if you did stop for the time being. It's sort of putting me off my own appetite.' I told it.
'Very well then, I shall stop for now.'
The churning in my gut stopped and I left the bathroom to put on clean clothes in my room. I went downstairs after that and waited while my dad made the pancakes for me. The creature was intrigued by them, both by their appearance and their taste. I surprised myself and my dad even as I made my way through a dozen or so of the dinner plate sized fluffy but dense treat. When I was done, I waited for the food to settle in my own belly before leaving the house.
I didn't really tell my dad where I was going but I took along my cell and the house keys in case he wasn't home by the time I got back. I headed for old man Yang's tea and medicine shop in the hope that he may have some idea of what my new 'friend' might be. His shop was located in a hidden side alley that very few humans frequented but more than a few supernaturals did. I could sense their traces and, with my 'new friend' on board, I could smell them too. Silvia filled my mouth as the creature possessing me found the smell appetizing.
